All Hands:
The Marine Corps lost two Public Affairs Officers recently, in Iraq,
along with an Army Specialist.
Maj Megan McClung had the admiration and appreciation from all the
journalists she worked with.
Gunny Glen Holloway, the past editor of Marine Magazine, spoke very
highly of the Major and her professionalism.
Also killed in the explosion was Capt Travis Patriquin and Army
Specialist Vincent Pomante. Capt Patriquin was known for his
willingness to get the hard jobs done, and Vincent Pomante volunteered
to escort these journalists in a very dangerous area of Iraq.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of these war
time journalists.
