From - Fri May 15 17:38:11 1998 Hello! I am hoping you might be able to point me in the
right direction. My father, Gilbert L. Arias,
served in
the US Air Force. Although he wasn't in Vietnam when his helicopter went
down, he was killed in action and remains missing until this day. He was
stationed in Kadena AFB, Okinowa in 1968 and his helicopter went down 10 miles
off shore in March Who could I contact to find out info about him? I know he wasn't a POW but maybe you might know of an agency to help me. Anything you might know would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Susan Daniel |

From - Thu Jul 16 15:32:55 1998 We have been asked by the sister of JOHN N. HUNTLEY, SANDRA (HUNTLEY) GALLANT, to see if there is someone that was with JOHN at the time of the crash of his chopper SEPT 27 1969, in or over LAOS. She would like to speak with anyone who may have known her brother. She was a young girl when Casualty came to speak with her mother and Sandra is unable to remember what was said. If there someone that remembers JOHN HUNTLEY, his sister would like to speak with them. Please get in contact with Michael L. Williams at dragon67@nemaine.com Thank you. |

From - Sun May 31 18:12:49 1998 I am a first cousin to 1Lt. Harold William Kroske, Jr. I last saw him at a going away party when I was four years old. The memory of him still haunts me. I always felt guilty that I never kissed him good-bye. Since then he has been listed as an MIA. I wore the POW/MIA bracelet bearing his name and hoped for his return. Both of his parents (my aunt and uncle) have passed on too. Yet there is still the question of what really happened and the yearning to know what his final days were and how he spent them. If anyone can provide some insight of his final days, please contact me via my email address. read4fun@ptd.net. Thank you. |

Fri Sept 4, 1998 Please contact me as to anyone acquainted with Lt Richard Schell, Missing in Action August 1967, South Vietnam. He was part of Operation Paul Revere, Mecong Delta. His helicopter shot down around Se Saen River. He is a relative of my wife, Margaret. We have gotten several accounts of exactly what happened. Some of them seem inaccurate. Would like to truly know what happened. Peter Buie |

From - Tue May 25 17:28:53 1999 My name is Julie, and I am the youngest of 4 children of Michael L. Bouchard. He flew A6's off the USS Constellation, until December 20, 1968. I never knew my father, my parents divorced when I was 3, and I was only 5 when his plane was shot down. What stories and information I have about his life, seem to only outline who he was. He loved the Navy, and loved flying. I would like to know more about who he was while he was in the Navy. If you knew him, I would like to hear from you, and try to learn more about the man who was responsible for giving me life. Sincerely, j_mccallum@hotmail.com |

2000 This is Cathi and Albro Lundy and it has been a while since we were in touch, thank you so much for the work you continue to do. Albro's brother has been traveling to Se Asia and wanted us to put out a renewed call to prayer for the people working on the issue over there. If you could post this in some way, we would be very grateful: "Please pray for the POWs, their health, safety and release, and for God's protection and guidance for the people working to bring them home." Thank you very much, Keep the Faith! Cathi and Albro Lundy |

"Johns, David F." <JohnsD@uthscsa.edu> Subject: From a family member Date: Wed, 14 May 2003 11:59:19 -0500
I just
happened across your site today and was really touched by some of the
letters to families. It is soon approaching the 35th anniversary
of the day I lost my father. Paul F. Johns
was shot down over Laos 28 June 1968. I was living in base
housing at Little Rock AFB with my mom & step-father and was
outside playing football with my friends when I first saw the blue
sedan approaching. You can't be raised in an Air Force family
and not understand the significance of that sedan. My heart sank
when the sedan stopped in front of our house. My father was a
bit of a hell raiser, he liked to party with the guys. But he
was always there for my brother and me and picked us up every summer
to go to my grandmothers in Laconia, Indiana. While my brother
and I frolicked with our cousins and friends, dad would go squirrel
hunting and running around with his boyhood friends. I remember
one of them, Peck he was called, a large man with a ready smile and
always a kind word for my brother and I. About the only thing my
father enjoyed more than partying was flying. Man he loved to
fly and his favorite bird had to be the A1-H Skyraider. As I sit
here, I wonder how things might have gone if had not done that 3rd
tour in Vietnam. Would he be proud of the way his Granddaughter
turned out, now a 31 y.o. mom? Would he enjoy watching his
great-grandson play little league ball? Would he enjoy watching
his now 16 year old grandson play hockey? Would he enjoy
his youngest granddaughters Middle School band concert? Would he
have approved of the way I led my life? So many questions left
unanswered. All I can say is I miss him terribly and hope he
knows that all of his grandchildren & great-grandchildren are
aware of the sacrifice he made for our country. I is a heavy
price to pay but freedom is certainly worth it.
Thanks
for your time and effort.
David Johns
