George Mark Sandel |
| Bogus DD214 - EXPOSED
quote: George Mark Sandel tried to join the Texas State Guard, ... and concerns were raised by members of the review board pertaining to his provided records (DD-214). Based upon these concerns, a record check was conducted with the Adjutant General's Dept. of Texas. Mr. Sandel was never in the National Guard and was dismissed for fraudulent enlistment. Mr. Sandel was the commander of the Civil Air Patrol squadron... Being ex-USAF, I did not have any in-depth knowledge about Army Special Ops, so had no prior reason to doubt the truth of his claims, etc. However, after what happened in the Guard, I requested a DD-214 from NARA. What I found was disturbing. Not to belabor the point, but he was a dirt-bag, who was booted out as an E-1 in lieu of a court martial. In fact, after all of this, we checked with the FAA on his Airframe and PowerPlant license, and that too was bogus. I have initiated separation procedures on him from CAP and turned the rest over to CAP NHQ, USAF and the FAA. This
guy used and damaged some people's careers, friends who stood up for him
and believed him. As a Desert Storm Vet, I personally find his actions
to be beyond forgiveness.... ======================================================= [02 10/24/02] QUESTION EVERYTHING !!!2005 - Mr Sandel is still telling war stories but in the virtual military flying world (the last frontier for him perhaps)? He has been an outstanding member of our hobby which is why I inquired about him. Seems like we were not the first people to be fooled by him. If the real vets find out about his claims that will be the end of him. He comes across as a very nice guy and this will shock our virtual community a great deal indeed.

11/2006 - .... One strange thing was that I found a guy on your site that I went to basic training, AIT, and started jump school with. He quit soon after training began. His name is George Sandel. It seems the guy just never quit bragging or coming up with lies. His claim to fame during basic and infantry training was that his dad was the 5th SFG(A) commander. He was even introduced at our AIT graduation but never stood up to receive his recognition. Go Figure!!
George quit jump school in his 1st or 2nd week and never got to jump
week. .....
Well thanks again for the great site and keep up the good work.
