"JOE McKNIGHT"
aka Willie Joe McKnight
aka LONGTABBER PE

"McKnight Poultry Farms are located in Florence, South Carolina. We are a family-oriented business specializing in raising, showing and sale of various breeds of poultry and water fowl."

This person is a poster on the James Randi Educational Foundation forums going by the handle LONGTABBER PE.

These are verbatim copies of portions of his posts.

"Also, since I "am" a part of a modern army and was SF in Afghanistan wih the Muhajadeen fighting the Russians- i can attest personally at the total devastation and total ass whipping those "ill equipped" forces can inflict on this "modern army" you speak of."

"I'm a 30 yr vet, a member of America's Elite and chosen soldiery and have been in EVERY armed conflict ( and some unpublished ones) from the Falklands to present except Mogadashu and have done it on every continent except Anarctica and faced about every type of enemy there is and have beaten them."

The quotes come from this thread:
He's active on a Bigfoot website - go figure - and  Talkleft.com, Liestoppers.com
He went by the name of "Joe"  his e-mail is JMckn71198@aol.com
Have been told he is a defense contractor.
He said he was on his first hitch at Grenada and that was in 1983 so he is mid to late forties. That is the age he comes across as too. One guy
says he thought LT was from the Raleigh Durham area but he (LT) said he lived in Florida. He indicated that he was not the prime contractor
for whatever he was doing in the Sand Box just an employee.

Low power, IER scope options...

OK, I need to tap GT's collective brain here. I have a Leupold FXII scout scope on my Savage Scout; LOVE it. Great setup, works well for me. Thing is, I don't always want even the little magnification that it gives. I know a red dot is a viable option, but I've found that a decent red dot is more than another Scout Scope!

FWIW, it will probably be mounted on a Mini-30 and used inside 150yds for deer, mostly. I like the size of the FXII, and how low it will mount to the barrel (I have an Ultimak rail on mine); I was just wondering if anyone had seen anything like a 1x optic with crosshairs, or a VERY low (<2x) with 7-13" of eye relief...

Thanks!
