Ivan now goes by his middle name, Marcos.  He has had a couple of variations in the way he spells his last name.  He used Cruze when he was registering as a scuba instructor with NAUI, and Cruse is on the business card he uses to show employment for an  Aquatics company.  NAUI suspended Ivan M Cruze on December 5, 2008.  He claims his son  was killed in Iraq April 6, 2008. [Don't know if it is true or not on the part of the Puerto Rican fallen patriot being his son or not.]  He seems to enjoy going around bragging on how long he's been diving and the achievements he has made and contributed to the sport of diving, frankly he doesn't even get the talk correct in that area.  If your a diver, instructor, diveshop, manufacturer or whatever, beware.

Well, I have more info.....  He is being held in federal custody.

He has pleaded guilty to several charges, forgive me, as I don't know all the official lingo....but the charges include... a felon in possession of weapons (8 counts), impersonating a federal officer (i.e. Navy Seal that is Naval
Intelligence now) .  He is up in Pensacola awaiting sentencing hearing.  He was arrested on Jan. 11 or 12 for stalking and while he was being held for that charge all these other things came up.  He was a convicted felon
already at that point and they found a loaded gun in his possession at the time, and found many other weapons.  He would go around to various gun shows impersonating a former seal that was now a Naval Intelligence Officer.  He would do this in the SouthEast.  At these gun shows he would steal from other vendors, etc.... Unfortunately it was thought he would sit in prison for about 25 years, but because he made a deal and pleaded guilty he will unfortunately only get about 5 or so years!  There is much more info.... When they arrested him they did find many I.D.'s on him too!  He also went to local merchants, like various law enforcement supply places and got discounts using his I.D's, along with stealing from them as well.  ... there is at least one reported case of him holding a loaded gun to the head of someone in public, there were witnesses to this.
