Claiming SPECIAL FORCES and "GREEN BERET"...

Author of:  Tears of Blood -- The Betrayal of America's Veterans

... wearing a brand NEW ASCOT AND ALL  SF Uniform.. the Black Beret and White Ascot etc.. and then about three  years ago now he started wearing a TROOPER HAT.. and that is what he  wears now..........

HE WORE THE ENTIRE SF UNIFORM with the Ascot and blazer et al.. and that was in Olympia during a speech by former POW and congressman and he was standing with three others who truly wore their old uniforms where he stood out nearly in front of them for a photo and his uniform was obviously all NEW.

HE states:

  • "Served with 4th inf Div. 4th Avn Bn. "BlackJacks" in Pieku and later when we moved to An Khe.

  • I served as a Door gunner for 4th Ave Bn. 69-70 in Plieku and An Khe.

  •  Also worked a lot on the Bn Civil Action team with a Montgnard village."

  • I also in Plieku worked out at the Bn C.A. village with the Yards.

"Documents relating to my limited time with SF duty have been lost over the years much to my chagrin and as the result I have not wore a beret in jeepers over 5 years now and will never be
wearing it again.

Simply because I have lost that documentation and can't find anything in my other records that cover that documentation. I may not like it
but I accept it.  I  cant seem to find that documentation anywhere so that is and has been a mute issue. OH By the way I never sported SF
attire I used to wear the beret but as I stated I have not done that in many years now. Oh maybe you consider my "Go to Hell" camo shirt with the standard array of assorted patches as attire."

"I was Incountry 1969-1971 two tours if you wish to call it that. My last tour only lasted about 3-4 months before I was seriously injured and air evaced eventually discharged in early 72."

New law targets fake vets Impersonating a veteran now a crime akin to pretending to be a police officer by Richard Roesler Staff writer

...This week, Gov. Gary Locke approved a law making it a crime to profit by falsely claiming to be a military veteran. Among the bill's targets: people
wrongly seeking hiring preferences or educational benefits, con men preying on people's sympathies and panhandlers.

"It's one of the worst kinds of fraud. It devalues the concept of being a veteran," said the bill's prime sponsor, Sen. Pam Roach, R-Auburn. The state
Legislature unanimously approved the bill earlier this month.

"It's way overdue," said Chuck Lawrence, a Vietnam veteran living in Sumner, Wash. "I was just fed up, as was most of the veteran community."....

-- Steve Sherman has already confirmed via the SF database this guy definitely was not SF.

--  With respect to the second statement, he needs to provide unit information. The Avn Bn. did not provide assistance to any villages, other than dropping off supplies once in a while or taking in medical assistance.

I am going to be on Hannity and Combs tonight! They rearranged the programing at the last minute it appears and I will be doing the show live from the Seattle Studio.  The program is going to focus on my little spat with Hanoi Jane yesterday. Ha they are even sending a car to pick me up. Woooooo :-) I am also going to be on john Carlson's Talk show about 3:30 this afternoon. KVI Talk Radio. KVI.com for computer listening I think. I think its much ado about nothing but what the heck. For those that are interested anyway. Take Care,
Chuck / Sarge
