BIOGRAPHY

Tommie Lee Ponder was born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

At the age of 16, he found himself serving his country in the Korean Conflict as a private. His duty was to carry a twenty-five pound battery pack which powered the Starlight Scope on the lead sniper's rifle. Together, Tommie and the sniper were responsible for intercepting North Korean enemy infiltrators attempting to cross the Imjin River that separated the sides of communism and democracy.

Tommie completed Ranger training at Fort Benning, GA and was "tabbed" at the age of 19. A military career as a U.S. Army Ranger carried him up to the ranks of master sergeant and captain. He saw action in most of South East Asia and many other hot spots around the world, and was assigned as an officer to Special Operations under the direction of the Central Intelligence Agency.
