LABAY, GERHARD ALBERT AKA GERHARD LEAHY |
12/2011 |
OK HI |
Gerhard Leahy: He claims he was in P/75 around 69-70 for a couple of months.
His name is
actually Gerhard Lebay/Labay. He was never in P Company. He lives on a boat
in Hawaii now. He used to live in Oklahoma City. He always claimed to be
SF/SOG when he lived here. He had never been to Vietnam, and never in
SF. When his wife discovered the truth - they divorced.
He served
in Korea during Vietnam. Never set foot in Vietnam. His story before
leaving here was that he served with SOG and went on missions in Laos and
North Vietnam! He said he had a purple heart and silver star. He's a very
convincing guy. Gerhard was good at avoiding the details and just parroting
the facts he had picked from true war stories he had heard or read about.
His story about how he got his silver star was taken from a book that
described a SOG mission into North Vietnam just above the DMZ. He
maintained his lie for about 40 years until the truth finally came out.

guy has stickers, insignias on his hats, pins,

claims to have been all over the place and killed lots

He now has a Ranger license plate on the front of his vehicle

He used to have a photo of himself wearing a Army

FROM
MIKE ANDERSONS WEBSITE before his death:
Roland Brian
Lakin portrays himself as a big Gulf War Hero up in Milford, New
Hampshire. He tells one and all of his Courage and Valor under fire in
Kuwait while assigned to a "High Mobility" Unit. He claims he
was in Kuwait for 18 months.
We were first notified about Roland Brian Lakin at the end of April
2000. However, it took several months to coordinate the separate and
independent testimony necessary to start our Investigation. To date, we
have three people who were willing to sign statements testifying that
they personally heard Roland Brian Lakin make his claims of Military
Derring-do. One of these people is a Gulf Veteran of the 1st ID, 5/16th
Infantry). Roland Brian Lakin is driving this real Gulf Veteran nuts
will all his lies and fabrications. The Gulf War Veteran turned to us
for help.
Among Roland Brian Lakin's tales of Bravery and Heroism, he was supposed
to have been "Shot our of the Sky" by friendly fire, during a
night Parachute jump with the 101st. Airborne Division. He says he was
"Dragged" over a dune by his chute and not found until the
following day. He claims his back was broken and had to be
"Fused" as a result of these injuries. He claims that he was a
"Mechanic" and was "pulled" for these missions.
Further, Lakin claims he was in "Combat" for a year. The Gulf
War only lasted 140 days. That's an amazing feat!! |
".... Roland Brian Lakin is
a pathological liar.... Since this article in April of 2000, he has told
many lies, one of them was that he had a brain tumor the size of a lemon
and was going through chemotherapy. Every job he has ever had he has purposely
gotten hurt so he can go on disability. He has milked the
New Hampshire
workmen’s compensation for God only knows how much. The closest Roland
has ever come to the army was signing up for the National Guard and his
MOS was working on generators. He served his minimum time and got
out." |

END QUOTE |
I greatly appreciate your
interest in upholding the honor of the US Navy SEAL Teams, and your
search for the TRUTH. Before answering your questions I must make
clear that I am a private individual, not affiliated with the US
Dept. of Defense or any other government organization. My efforts to
expose SEAL imposters are performed as a service to the public, and
in honor of my fallen SEAL Teammates… men who truly earned the right
to the title “US NAVY SEAL” but who are no longer able to stand
forward in defense of their honor, their reputations, and their
TEAMs.
If the name you provided is
spelled correctly, I do NOT find a listing in the SEAL
Database (SEAL Teams and predecessor units from 1943 to the Present
Day) for anyone named JOHN LANGERMANN. I have also examined
possible alternate spellings, and names with similar pronunciations
without finding any that appear to be applicable.
Unless he has undertaken the
unlikely action of a legal name change (an action for which there
would be evidence in the form of court documentation) since his
claimed participation in SEAL training, and based upon the
information you have provided, I can state conclusively that JOHN
LANGERMANN has NEVER COMPLETED SEAL training, and he is not now, nor
was he ever a Navy SEAL, a Navy UDT “Frogman”, a member of any Naval
Combat Demolition Unit (NCDU), or a member of the Naval Amphibious
Scouts & Raiders (S&R).
When members of the Naval
Special Warfare community meet others who claim similar service, but
whom they do not recognize, there is a conversational exchange of
information that establishes the bona fides of each to the other.
There is no set formula for this exchange, nor for the information
that is exchanged, but it ALWAYS takes place, and the REAL Naval
Special Warfare members can ALWAYS spot an imposter as a result of
this exchange. If Mr. JOHN LANGERMANN persists in insisting
that his SEAL claims are legitimate, I might suggest that you ask
him these questions:
-Since there is no listing in
the SEAL Database for the name you are currently using, WHAT NAME
DID YOU USE during SEAL training?
-What was his Training
Class Number? (No SEAL ever forgets his class number, and
there are no secret classes)?
-Where did his training
take place? (Training has been conducted at several locations over
the years; different portions in different places)?
-When did he graduate
from SEAL training? (i.e. a specific graduation DAY/DATE)?
-What were his Primary
and Secondary Naval Enlisted Classification (NEC) codes, or what was
his Naval Officer Billet Code (NOBC)?
-Which SEAL Team(s) did
you serve on, and when?
The answers to those
questions are totally UNCLASSIFIED, and every real SEAL will gladly
provide that substantiating information upon request.
Before any classified operations
may be undertaken as a SEAL Operator, a man must first successfully
complete the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Training
program and then the follow-on secondary training program. The names
of all those who successfully graduate from that training program
sequence are compiled in the SEAL database. Later participation in
classified operations has no impact on whether or not a person is
listed as a graduate of the training program. There are records of
every man who has qualified for the title of “SEAL”; there have been
and will continue to be secret missions, but there are NO secret
SEALs.
Once again I must stress that
although I am a US Navy veteran, and a former SEAL, I am a civilian
performing in an entirely unofficial role. I strongly recommend that
you obtain a formal/official US NAVY statement regarding Mr. JOHN
LANGERMANN's claimed SEAL credentials. To do so you may contact
the PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE at the NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE COMMAND in

"Just for clarification. Mr Lauve is not an officer in American

WENATCHEE — A local American Legion executive committee member who

expelled or suspended from Post 10 in Wenatchee next week.
A South Carolina newspaper reported Thursday that George “Gunny”
Lauve, 84, of Wenatchee — who spoke at the American Legion World

the Marine Corps, and did not earn several medals, including five

| LAWLESS,
AARON JOSHUA |
01/2010
01/2011 |
NE |
He was
arrested several months back for possession of illegal machine guns.
He subsequently plead guilty to having guns without a serial number.
Aaron Lawless has claimed to have been in the Army, Marines, a sniper, a
Ranger, and received one Silver star, two Bronze Stars (with V), and
four purple hearts. He also was received a custom Glock from Glock USA
(Alabama IIRC) for his service record and was presented by R. Lee Ermey.
In a thread on the SilencerTalk web site discussing his arrest and trial
someone began asking questions and connecting dots about his stories.
Dates have not jived with his stories and there is no verification of
his medals. Several people have gone so far as to download the
audio file of his trial and there is evidence in that audio that his
medal claims are not true.
So far what has been deduced is that he was in the Army, was injured
(combat injury not proven) did go through the hospital he claimed to
have gone through (Walter Reed IIRC) and was discharged.
The dates that he provides conflict and do not support he was in the Marines.
It has been verified that he did not attend Ranger school and as such is
not a Ranger.
There is no evidence that he ever received any medals of valor; no
Bronze Star, no Silver Star, and no Purple Hearts. When his house
was searched subsequent to his arrest a Purple Heart belonging to
someone else was recovered along with paperwork for another person, but
nothing belonging to him.
Here is a link to the thread on SilencerTalk discussing this issue.
It begins asking about the absence of Lawless from the forum. On
page three questions begin to be asked regarding his service record.

......Lawson also discussed his
time in the Philippines, explaining that the Japanese
had dug tunnels in hills, hiding anti-aircraft guns. Lawson and fellow
fighter pilots
were instructed to destroy them, making it safer for U.S. torpedo planes
to enter
the area at lower range and fire into the tunnels. During that mission
-- on Dec.
23, 1944 -- Lawson was shot down; shrapnel went through his right knee.
He
landed in a rice paddy, and fortunately for Lawson, four Philippine
guerrillas got
to him before the Japanese. Two of them hid his parachute while the
other two
carried him into the village of Kiwan and placed him in an underground
storm
shelter eight feet deep, covered with bamboo sticks and shrubbery.
On Christmas Day, Lawson was still in the shelter when a 5-year-old
Filipino boy
in a dark shirt and pants came into the shelter.
"He held out a bowl with a few tablespoons of rice and a note from his
mother,"
Lawson said. "She said in English, 'We don't have very much, but what we
have,
we want to share it with you on this Christmas Day. Merry Christmas.'
She signed
it 'Christine.' It was the best Christmas dinner I ever had!"
In all, Lawson flew 198 combat missions, shot down 99 Japanese planes
and
assisted in the sinking of 266 Japanese ships. He was wounded three
times.
Among his 21 medals are two Distinguished Flying Crosses, three Purple

Lawson and his claim of shooting down Yamamoto.
Even though it looks like folks are figuring it out,
I can assure you he is full of it.
My

it, including the dispute between Lanphier and

ACTUAL RECORDS
Sir, I greatly appreciate
your interest in upholding the honor of the US Navy SEAL Teams,
and your search for the TRUTH. Before answering your questions I
must make clear that I am a private individual, not affiliated
with the US Dept. of Defense or any other government
organization. My efforts to expose SEAL imposters are performed
as a service to the public, and in honor of my fallen SEAL
Teammates… men who truly earned the right to the title “US NAVY
SEAL” but who are no longer able to stand forward in defense of
their honor, their reputations, and their TEAMs.
If the name you provided is
spelled correctly, I do NOT
find a listing in the SEAL Database (SEAL Teams and predecessor
units from1943 to the Present Day) for anyone named
GARY K.
LEE.
I have also examined possible alternate spellings, and names
with similar pronunciations without finding any that appear to
be applicable. In point of fact there are THIRTY-THREE (33) men
listed in the SEAL Database (17,300+ entries) with the last name
“LEE”. None of
those men has the first name “GARY”
or anything even vaguely similar in spelling or pronunciation.
Unless he has undertaken
the unlikely action of a legal name change (an action for which
there would be evidence in the form of court documentation)
since his claimed participation in SEAL training, and based upon
the information you have provided,
I can state conclusively that
GARY K. LEE has NEVER COMPLETED SEAL training, and he is not
now, nor was he ever a Navy SEAL, a Navy UDT “Frogman”, a member
of any Naval Combat Demolition Unit (NCDU), or a member of the
Naval Amphibious Scouts & Raiders (S&R).
When members of the Naval
Special Warfare community meet others who claim similar service,
but whom they do not recognize, there is a conversational
exchange of information that establishes the bona fides of each
to the other. There is no set formula for this exchange, nor for
the information that is exchanged, but it ALWAYS takes place,
and the REAL Naval Special Warfare members can ALWAYS spot an
imposter as a result of this exchange. If Mr.
LEE persists in
insisting that his SEAL claims are legitimate, I might suggest
that you ask him these questions:
-Since there is no listing in the SEAL Database for the name you
are currently using, WHAT
NAME DID YOU USE during SEAL training?
-What
was his Training
Class Number? (No
SEAL ever forgets his class number, and there are no secret
classes)?
-Where
did his training take place? (Training has been conducted at
several locations over the years; different portions in
different places)?
-When
did he graduate from SEAL training? (i.e. a specific graduation
DAY/DATE)?
-What
were his Primary and Secondary Naval Enlisted Classification
(NEC) codes, or what was his Naval Officer Billet Code (NOBC)?
-Which
SEAL Team(s) did you serve on, and when?
The answers to those
questions are totally UNCLASSIFIED, and every real SEAL will
gladly provide that substantiating information upon request.
Before any
classified operations may be undertaken as a SEAL Operator, a
man must first successfully complete the Basic Underwater
Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Training program and then the follow-on
secondary training program. The names of all those who
successfully graduate from that training program sequence are
compiled in the SEAL database. Later participation in classified
operations has no impact on whether or not a person is listed as
a graduate of the training program. There are records of every
man who has qualified for the title of “SEAL”; there have been
and will continue to be secret missions, but there are NO secret
SEALs.
Once again I
must stress that although I am a US Navy veteran, and a former
SEAL, I am a civilian performing in an entirely unofficial role.
I strongly recommend that you obtain a formal/official US NAVY
statement regarding Mr. GARY
K. LEE’s claimed SEAL credentials. To do so you may
contact the PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE at the NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE
COMMAND in San Diego by calling (619) 522-2823, or you may
contact the FOIA COORDINATOR at the NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE
COMMAND in San Diego, California, and submit a formal FREEDOM OF
INFORMATION ACT inquiry in writing addressed to:
Commander
Naval Special Warfare Command
FOIA Coordinator
2000 Trident Way
San Diego, CA 92155
Thank you again for your
concern in this matter, and for your assistance in upholding the
honor of the US Navy SEAL Teams. If I can be of any further
assistance to you in this matter, please contact me at your
convenience.

fides of each to the other. There is no set formula for this
exchange, nor for the information that is exchanged, but it ALWAYS
takes place, and the REAL Naval Special Warfare members can ALWAYS
spot a phony as a result of this exchange. If you have an
opportunity to speak with the man at some point in the future, I
might suggest that you to ask Mr. LEIFER
these questions:
(1) Since
there is no listing in the SEAL Database for the name you are
currently using, WHAT NAME DID
YOU USE during SEAL training?
(2) What
was his BUD/S Class Number?
(NB: No SEAL ever forgets the class number he shouted all day long,
every day, for 6 months)
(3) Where
did his training take place? (NB: Training has been conducted at
several locations over the years; different portions in different
places)
(4) When
did he graduate from Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S)
training? (i.e. a specific graduation DATE)
There
are many other questions which could be asked to further establish
the level of veracity or untruth regarding his claims, such as
asking for the names of other members of his graduating class, but
those basic questions are absolutes. The
answers to those questions are totally UNCLASSIFIED, and every real
SEAL will gladly provide that substantiating information upon
request, although you will be very likely be told that the
information is either classified or sensitive and cannot be
provided, or you will be given some totally bogus information.
No
one gets to the SEAL Teams without first completing BUD/S Training.
There are records of every man who has qualified for the title of
“SEAL”; there have been and will continue to be secret missions,
but there are NO secret SEALs… we know them all.
As
this matter involves a member of the public who is seeking elected
office, and the matter of his credentials may have a critical
bearing on his participation in that election, I would strongly
recommend that you place a phone call to the NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE
COMMAND in Coronado, California, and speak with their PUBLIC AFFAIRS
OFFICER in order to obtain an “OFFICIAL” statement on this
matter. Explain that the situation bears directly upon an upcoming
election and is time-critical. You should be prepared to provide the
man’s full legal name, age or date-of-birth, etc as an aid to
their efforts. Contact them M-F at (619) 522-2823 during regular
daytime business hours (Pacific Time Zone).
Thank
you for your assistance in upholding the honor, integrity, and
reputation of the Navy’s SEAL Teams.
Respectfully,
Steve
