| It has been quite a while
since I first reported this individual to your offices. I
was able to contact this person. I questioned him on his
previous statements, and he insisted that I misunderstood
his claims. He informed me that he had been through
training, was injured, and subsequently dropped from
training. It is clear though that your document proves that
he never even entered BUD\S. I advised him, that in the
future he should choose his words carefully, and that there
were persons that did not appreciate his misleading
statements. I thank you for your time and consideration in
this matter, good hunting. |

charged with faking Army record
The Associated Press
Posted : Monday Jan 23, 2012 10:56:10 EST
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. A Martinsburg man who never served in the
military has been charged with faking an Army service record and
fraudulently collecting more than $97,000 in benefits.
U.S. Attorney William Ihlenfeld said Ronald Lamont Clements, 44,
even claimed to have earned a Purple Heart and Combat Infantry Badge
for service from September 1985 until January 1992.
A 10-count indictment issued by a grand jury in Martinsburg last
week charges him with mail fraud, theft of government funds,
falsifying military discharge certificates and false claims of
medals and decorations.....

That is until his unit sees this picture that already has over 200

photo you will see him posing as a staff sergeant with 2 service stripes
indicating he is on his 3rd enlistment. He has never been deployed or
even in a deployable unit although he displays both the Iraqi and
Afghanistan campaign ribbons, a Purple Heart, a combat action ribbon and
others. He also displays the scuba bubble and jump wings which he has
never earned. He is your textbook definition of a true Sociopath.

This
response is to my brother and sister Marines on this site. I
will not waste my time and energy responding to this
wannabe/imposter/loser.
Here is the dispute I placed on his profile:
Quote:
Clouse, or whoever you are!
You have been having a lot of fun, at our expense haven’t you?
You’ve been playing on our sympathies while all the time
laughing your butt off at the “Stupid Marines”, haven’t
you?
Well you tripped yourself up, with your own arrogance! You did
leave some hints, which probably added to your enjoyment and the
heartiness of your laughter, they are as follows:
1. Your e-mail address randye6usmc@
yahoo.com with a profile rank of sergeant and using
yahoo which as everyone knows is not a direct service so you can
set up whatever you want a good place for a fake to work from
2. Listing the Mayaguez Rescue incident under your profile. By a
Marine unit that was not involved and by a computing machine
mechanic (your stated MOS)!
3. The clincher, the question I asked you that you did not
respond to, and you know what I mean, that was a trap on my part
and you confirmed by your lack of response THAT YOU WERE NEVER A
MARINE!
I never did give your profile that close of a look, until you
tripped yourself up. I won’t make that mistake again! So if
you try to come back on as someone else, we’ll bust your ass
again!
NOW STAY OFF THIS SITE YOU FAKE!
End Qoute.
Here is his response as a message on my profile. He had to put
it there because I spammed him when I removed him from my
brothers list. Yeah he had me fooled big time!
Now his response:
Quote:
i was a marine. i was in plt 236 in boot P.I. after boot( by
the it is called the island0 i became a 2818. i was color blind
so the corps decided i could do something else. i got but in
something called MACSOG . my mission was --- do your job. i have
no idea who was in charge, but we did what we did, i will tell
you the true shit. since then my records are all fucked up. but
i know what we did. the va says we seem to have a problem,
right, i guess we were spooks. not my idea of a marine. i tell
you this because you are a person who knows what went on. i am
sorry if you do not believe me. but this is all i can tell you.
End Quote!
Every single wannabe that I have busted falls back on this ploy.
Well I'm here to tell you their personnel records are not
classified. They are there for all to see, the pages that
contain the "Black Ops" are not. But, the fact is,
their personnel records are there and available regardless if
they were a Marine, or a Navy S.E.A.L. or a Green Beret, (other
wannabe favorites). They like to use the Special Ops as a
background in hopes that you will believe the; "I can't
tell you because my records are sealed" ploy.
So don't let this wannabe fool you!
He made his last move and it was a bad one. Check and Mate! GAME
OVER!

Sir,
I greatly appreciate your
interest in upholding the honor of the US Navy SEAL Teams, and your
search for the TRUTH. Before answering your questions I must make
clear that I am a private individual, not affiliated with the US
Dept. of Defense or any other government organization. My efforts to
expose SEAL imposters are performed as a service to the public, and
in honor of my fallen SEAL Teammates… men who truly earned the right
to the title “US NAVY SEAL” but who are no longer able to stand
forward in defense of their honor, their reputations, and their
TEAMs.
If the name you provided is
spelled correctly, I do NOT find a listing in the SEAL Database
(SEAL Teams and predecessor units from 1943 to the Present Day) for
anyone named DWIGHT E. COCHRAN.
I have also examined possible
alternate spellings, and names with similar pronunciations without
finding any that appear to be applicable.
Unless he has undertaken the
unlikely action of a legal name change (an action for which there
would be evidence in the form of court documentation) since his
claimed participation in SEAL training, and based upon the
information you have provided, I can state conclusively that
DWIGHT E. COCHRAN has NEVER COMPLETED SEAL training, and he is not
now, nor was he ever a Navy SEAL, a Navy UDT “Frogman”, a member of
any Naval Combat Demolition Unit (NCDU), or a member of the Naval
Amphibious Scouts & Raiders (S&R).
Many SEAL imposters when
confronted with the information I have provided will resort to
claiming that their records are sealed, burned or their SEAL
Operations were Classified and that there are no official records of
them.
Before any classified
operations may be undertaken as a SEAL Operator, a man must first
successfully complete the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S)
Training program and then the follow-on secondary training program.
The names of all those who successfully graduate from that training
program sequence are compiled in the SEAL database. Later
participation in classified operations has "no impact" on whether or
not a person is listed as a graduate of the training program.
There are records of every man
who has qualified for the title of “SEAL”; there have been and will
continue to be secret missions, but there are NO secret SEALs.
Once again I must stress that
although I am a US Navy veteran, and a former SEAL, I am a civilian
performing in an entirely unofficial role. I strongly recommend that
you obtain a formal/official US NAVY statement regarding Mr.
DWIGHT E. COCHRAN's claimed SEAL credentials. To do so you may
contact the PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE at the NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE
COMMAND in San Diego by calling (619) 522-2823, or you may contact
the FOIA COORDINATOR at the NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE COMMAND in San
Diego, California, and submit a formal FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT
inquiry in writing addressed to:

assistance to you in this matter, please contact me at your
convenience.

Veteran's Story Was Fabricated
The Capital Times :: FRONT :: A1
Thursday, June 1, 2006
Dave Zweifel
Dear Readers:
We've been snookered.
The front-page story on Memorial Day about the Marine
veteran who claimed he served seven years on active duty, was seriously
injured in Bosnia and now can't get a job in Madison was fabricated by the
veteran. Jeremy Cofer, 31, actually served less than two years on active
duty and was never sent overseas, where he claimed he saw his best friend
die in Bosnia....

Ex-pvt. rebuilds life after taking war spoils
By Chris Kenning - The (Louisville, Ky.) Courier-Journal

......He joined the active Army, then completed sniper, airborne
assault and Army ranger training at Fort Benning, Ga.
He served as a Ranger sniper in Somalia in 1993, engaging in several
fierce firefights and was shot in the leg during a battle
that was later depicted in the movie "Black Hawk Down." .....

.....So he volunteered at age 17. He
enrolled in sniper school at Fort Benning,
Ga., and took advanced training at Fort
Bragg, N.C. Duty sent the small-town boy
around the world: Kuwait, Germany, Scotland,
Curacao, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, the Azores.
Still a teenager, Coffey found himself in
Mogadishu providing cover fire during the
bloody "Black Hawk Down" street battles in
1993. "None of us thought we were coming out

Claims Airborne, Ranger, Sniper,
“Blackhawk Down”, shot in Somalia. Claims he joined the KY Guard and
then went Active Army. The only time the guy was in an
active status before 2002 was during OSUT at Fort Benning for his
Basic Training and Infantryman AIT in late 1991/early 1992. He also
completed PLDC in 1996 while in the Kentucky Guard. He was NOT
Airborne, NOT Ranger, NOT Sniper, was NOT in Somalia, was NOT shot
(No awards higher than Army Achievement Medal and definitely NO
Purple Heart). He was Kentucky Army National Guard from his
enlistment in Oct 1991 until Dec 1998 (then a break in service) and
again from Jul 1999 to Jul 2000 (followed by another break in
service), and then he enlisted into the Active Army in 2002 and
served until he got the court martial and bad conduct discharge for
looting (booted out in Oct 2005). He also went AWOL on 4 separate
occasions. Even the picture from the “Army Times” article doesn’t
show that he has the Parachutist Badge or Ranger Tab on his Class A
uniform.

The
fake SEAL named "Coker" made an appearance in uniform again last
night here in Fayetteville (same bar on Fort Bragg Road). He gave his full
name as Gary F. Coker, (DOB 1954) when the bartender asked for an ID.
He again was wearing the old desert BDU uniform with a Coker nametape, US
Navy nametape, USN Special Warfare Trident, Command Master Chief rank on his
collar and a Trident sewn on his desert BDU cap in lieu of rank. He was
again carrying a large green "Alice" pack which he place on the
floor of the bar. Both his uniform and rucksack were clean and in good
repair so I doubt he is homeless. Some of his claims/behaviors last night:
- SEAL Teams 4 and 6 (Expert sniper, shot the "Barret 50 cal",
etc..., etc...).
- 35 years in the Navy--about to retire this week, but will be kept on
standby duty if the President wants to reactivate him.
- Claimed he walked to the bar from Womack Army Hospital on Fort Bragg
(about 8-10 miles), but had a hospital wrist band from the VA (VA hospital
is about 2 miles away)
- When I asked if he had a Navy ID card he said SEALs don't carry IDs
(kind of funny since I had 4 SEALs working for me at Roosevelt Roads, PR and
they all had IDs). He did produce a VA medical card, but was unable to see
whether it said "service connected".
- When asked why he had a "Trident" sewn on his hat he said
SEALs wore them that way. When I explained that I knew many SEALs and had
not seen that technique before he told me that they were allowed to bend the
rules and do what they want. He said he could grow a "pony tail"
and still wear his uniform. He wore his hat inside the bar almost the whole
time he was there which would be unusual for a military person to do.
- When I asked where he lived he gave a different address than the one he
used last week. When asked why he had a different address, he said SEALs are
trained not to give out their real addresses.
- He spent two hours bumming beer and cigarettes off people, and stumbled
around trying to talk to anyone who would listen. He then proceeded to
harangue people for a ride up the road ...

digging into the doings of the Kennedale-based United States Fallen

running it at the time, Walter Coleman, falsely represented himself as a

COLLINS, RONALD JR. |
10/2010 |
wv |
Ronald Collins, Jr., a resident of Beckley, West
Virginia, is a minor martial arts figure who publishes
instructional books and DVDs on self-defense and "street
fighting" through Ashida Kim's DOJO Press ( http://www.dojopress.com/).
Collins claims to have started studying the martial arts
as a toddler, to have earned three black belts by the
age of 8, to have earned a second-degree black belt
before he was a teenager, and to have earned a
fifth-degree black belt by the time he was 20, this last
in a secret family-style of Koga Ryu Ninjitsu. None of
these claims is believable or even particularly
plausible. Mr. Collins has to date offered no proof
(legitimate promotion certificates) for most of these
ranks (and in fact has begun walking back his claims in
this regard).
Ron Collins has a criminal record for assault on a law
enforcement officer (or officers) and for contributing
to the delinquency of a minor. He was convicted in 2008
for events apparently occurring in 2006 and was,
according to him, released from home confinement in July
of 2009. His explanations for these convictions have
evolved in the form of conflicting stories, some
involving political fallout (somehow connected to the
sexual advances of a minor female, according to him) and
others revolving around post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
In arguments in various online discussion sites, Mr.
Collins has repeatedly used his military service to
justify the martial arts material he publishes. Ron
Collins says he joined the US Marines at the age of 17.
He has claimed to be "Force Recon" in the marines, a
claim he explicitly disavowed in May of 2010, claiming
he lied about this for ten years to "make a point" about
commercialism in the martial arts.
Collins claims he served in the USMC for two years, was
discharged for medical reasons (or, alternatively, on a
"hardship discharge" because his mother developed
cancer), and joined the US Army in 2001. He claims to
have joined for a three-year term of enlistment, serving
in Korea as an infantryman (where he taught his
proprietary martial arts system to fellow soldiers),
before being "stop-lossed" for 18 months and deploying
to Iraq (where, presumably, he was exposed to conditions
and actions that caused his PTSD). He further claims to
have been an MP in the Reserves.
None of these military claims appears to be wholly
accurate. According to FOIA documentation, Mr. Collins
joined the Army at the age of 18 and was discharged or
excused after only 2 months. In 2001, he again enlisted
in the Army and served 3 years and six months in a
non-combat capacity in Korea. While he did relate an
Army combatives program to fellow soldiers (as confirmed
in Army Achievement Medal documentation he posted
online), per Army policy he would not have been
permitted to teach an unapproved combatives program of
his own design as a low-ranking enlisted man. (Ron
himself has referred to his position as "instructor" as
"unofficial.") Again according to FOIA documentation,
there is no indication that Ron Collins deployed to
Iraq. There is no indication that he was in the
Reserves, and if that is the case he could not have been
an MP.

Sir,
I greatly appreciate your interest in upholding the honor of the
US
Navy SEAL Teams, and your search for the TRUTH. Before answering
your
questions I must make clear that I am a private individual, not
affiliated with the US Dept. of Defense or any other government
organization. My efforts to expose SEAL imposters are performed
as a
service to the public, and in honor of my fallen SEAL Teammates…
men
who truly earned the right to the title “US NAVY SEAL” but who
are no
longer able to stand forward in defense of their honor, their
reputations, and their TEAMs.
If the name you provided is spelled correctly, I do NOT find a
listing
in the SEAL Database (SEAL Teams and predecessor units from 1943
to
the Present Day) for anyone named FREDERICK "RICO" COMBS. I have
also
examined possible alternate spellings, and names with similar
pronunciations without finding any that appear to be applicable.
Unless he has undertaken the unlikely action of a legal name
change
(an action for which there would be evidence in the form of
court
documentation) since his claimed participation in SEAL training,
and
based upon the information you have provided, I can state
conclusively
that FREDERICK "RICO" COMBS has NEVER COMPLETED SEAL training,
and he
is not now, nor was he ever a Navy SEAL, a Navy UDT “Frogman”, a
member of any Naval Combat Demolition Unit (NCDU), or a member
of the
Naval Amphibious Scouts & Raiders (S&R).
Many SEAL imposters when confronted with the information I have
provided will resort to claiming that their records are sealed,
burned
or their SEAL Operations were Classified and that there are no
official records of them.
Before any classified operations may be undertaken as a SEAL
Operator,
a man must first successfully complete the Basic Underwater
Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Training program and then the follow-on
secondary training program. The names of all those who
successfully
graduate from that training program sequence are compiled in the
SEAL
database. Later participation in classified operations has "no
impact"
on whether or not a person is listed as a graduate of the
training
program.
There are records of every man who has qualified for the title
of “SEAL”; there have been and will continue to be secret
missions,
but there are NO secret SEALs.
Once again I must stress that although I am a US Navy veteran,
and a
former SEAL, I am a civilian performing in an entirely
unofficial
role. I recommend that you obtain a formal/official US NAVY
statement
regarding Mr. FREDERICK "RICO" COMBS claimed SEAL credentials.
To do
so you may contact the PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE at the NAVAL
SPECIAL
WARFARE COMMAND in San Diego by calling (619) 522-2823, or you
may
contact the FOIA COORDINATOR at the NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE
COMMAND in
San Diego, California, and submit a formal FREEDOM OF
INFORMATION ACT
inquiry in writing addressed to:
Commander
Naval Special Warfare Command

Thank you again for your concern in this matter, and for your
assistance in upholding the honor of the US Navy SEAL Teams. If
I can
be of any further assistance to you in this matter, please
contact me
at your convenience.
Respectfully, Don Shipley BUD/S 131, SEAL Team ONE, SEAL Team

Claims her was a regular killing machine in Nam
in June 1968 part of 9th platoon and a SEAL.
Claims Seal Team 2, Class 39/6701.
Claims he spent most of his time in the Mekong
Delta around Can Tho and a little east at Vihn Long, Bihn Thuy on
the Bassac, My Cho and one trip into the Rung Sat where he was
wounded in 1972. Claims retired in 1987 with 20 years service,
reserves in 1991 and was called in as an advisor because there were
so few left in the reserves with real combat experience. Said he
lost part of his leg in Afghanistan.
NO MILITARY RECORDS FOUND |
- ...I am absolutely
stunned at the amount of sheer BS that COMBS is
spewing at you! Most of it isn’t even HIS BS… it originated
with real SEAL Richard Marcinko. ....
-
- .....There are several other errors involved in his
statements, but I’ll just leave it at those… the most
obvious. Please note in my signature block that I DID SERVE
with SEAL Team ONE on the west coast during the Vietnam era,
and I am certainly well acquainted with the incidents, the
names, the locations, etc of that era, from both the east
and the west coast SEAL Teams. There were only the TWO SEAL
Teams in existence at that time, and there were only about
200 men on each one. I either served with, knew, or heard
about nearly every SEAL on both coasts during that time
period. COMBS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!
-
- The man has offered numerous key phrases taken from
books written by real SEALs. No real SEAL would offer a “sea
daddy” name as a part of his credentials, however that
comment is made in several different books as a part of the
overall narrative. Mr. COMBS’ blustery, in your face claims
of being “a regular killing machine” are typical of the
commentary made by Richard Marcinko – an officer with SEAL
Team TWO at that time in history, and the author of a book
about his experiences in that war. James “Patches” Watson is
very well known in the SEAL community and to the public at
large who find any interest in the Naval Special Warfare
Community – he is perhaps one of the most well known SEALs
of the Vietnam era – and he mentored many east coast Team
men when they first arrived in the Teams. The idea of
knowing Watson or having been mentored by him is one of the
most commonly shared statements among Vietnam era SEALs from
the east coast training unit and SEAL Team TWO.
-
- Many of the phrases Mr. COMBS has offered in his
comments are almost directly taken from the book ROGUE
WARRIOR by real Navy SEAL Richard Marcinko. Marcinko headed
up the deployment of 8th Platoon from SEAL Team TWO and it
ENDED its overseas deployment in June 1968. Marcinko’s book
is the virtual BIBLE for just about all Navy SEAL imposters,
however it is not the only one that they use for cross
reference information. The other key book for imposters is
FREE FIRE ZONES by Kevin Dockery, and it contains much of
the information that COMBS has offered you with regard to
locations in Vietnam. Too bad he didn’t pay attention to the
smaller details or he would have realized all of the errors
he made.
-
- I’d be willing to bet that a copy of ROGUE WARRIOR can
be found among Mr. COMBS’ possessions, along with at least
one other book about SEALs in Vietnam written by a real Navy
SEAL.
-
- Once again, I assure you that Mr. ROBERT C. COMBS is
not now and never has been a US Navy SEAL. Please contact
the NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE COMMAND (San Diego) PUBLIC AFFAIRS
OFFICE to confirm this statement as true. They can provide
you with information on how to complete a FREEDOM OF
INFORMATION ACT inquiry to learn what Mr. COMBS really did
in the military (if he even served at all).
