THOSE CLAIMING MEDAL OF HONOR
NOTE: In 1996 HLI Lordship
Industries (at the time, the OFFICIAL USG contractor for the Medal of
Honor) admitted selling THREE HUNDRED unauthorized medals for $75.00
each from 1991-1994. They were fined $80,000. NOT ALL of those medals
have been recovered. Offenders in possession of an
unauthorized medal can be arrested, fined (up to $10,000) and jailed
(up to a year). It is the only military medal that CANNOT be bought,
sold, bartered, traded, collected, auctioned, exchanged.... EVERY
Medal of Honor is awarded by act of Congress. Less than 150 REAL Medal
of Honor recipients are alive today.

Roland Haas, the author of a recently published book entitled “Enter
the Past Tense: My Secret Life as a CIA Assassin.
“My story has been vetted by a number of official sources!
I have now been invited by the Department of the Navy to present an
address about my story from the deck of the USS Brady [sic],…”.
The complete text of Mr. Haas’ message can be read at: http://groups.google.com/group/alt.war.vietnam/msg/6c50e1350e960e9c
)
If you check appropriate Navy records, you will discover that he was
expelled from the Navy ROTC program at Purdue University in the early
1970s as a consequence of a criminal act.
If his story about his alleged career as a CIA “hitman” were true,
which it certainly is not, Mr. Haas would be, by his own admission,
guilty of multiple felonies - violation of Executive Order 12333 and
Congressional proscriptions against assassination, fraud, perjury (in
his employment applications, in his background biographic forms required
for seeking security clearances, etc), multiple tax violations (says he
never declared his alleged "compensation" from the CIA), and
God knows what else.
Mr. Haas is a GS-14 Department of the Army civilian employee at the U.S.
Army Reserve Command (USARC) at Atlanta, GA. He openly calls his
employment with the USARC a "cover assignment."
=============================
Mr. Haas,
One does not need detailed knowledge of
how our intelligence services operate to recognize that your story is
nonsense.
Any reasonably intelligent, moderately
well-informed person who is willing to remove his or her ideological
blinders and examine your story with a little common sense and logic
should be able to recognize it as the fiction that it is.
In the 2 Sep 07 note cited above you
wrote: "The Agency has since (within the last 4 weeks) come
out and admitted that it did indeed use targeted killings. This
was also reported in the Washington Post. The Agency is releasing this
info they call 'the family jewels.'"
Mr. Haas, what is the date and
headline of the Washington Post article you refer to? A Google
search of the Internet and a search of the Washington Post on-line
archive using two combinations of keywords "assassin CIA"
(without quotes), and "targeted killing" CIA (with quotes),
yielded only four items published in the six weeks before you wrote the
above sentence:
·
A transcript of an interview with NY Times correspondent Tim
Weiner about his book "Legacy of Ashes: The History of the
CIA", which is critical of the CIA;
· This blurb about a movie: "'Hitman,'
adapted from the hit video game "Hitman: Codename 47," stars
Timothy Olyphant as Agent 47, a genetically engineered assassin who
works for a shadowy agency called, of all things, the Agency."
· This blurb about the book "The
Bourne Ultimatum" (Bantam, $7.99), by Robert Ludlum: "A master
assassin renews his struggle against an international terrorist."
· This blurb about a movie based on
Ludlum's book: ""The Bourne Ultimatum." Hyperkinetic
thriller -- gloriously dizzying and paranoid -- is a stunning finale to
the Bourne trilogy ("The Bourne Identity," 2002; "The
Bourne Supremacy," 2004, PG-13s), updating Robert Ludlum's Cold War
novels to the terror-tainted present; Matt Damon, as amnesiac CIA
assassin Jason Bourne, gets to the source of his identity and why most
(but not all) CIA higher-ups want him dead. Violence approaches bloody R
levels in bone-crushing fights, lethal gunplay; foot chases, car chases
are breathlessly shot and edited and could induce motion sickness; mild
profanity. High schoolers."
A Google search on the keywords
"CIA's family jewels" yielded a keyword-searchable 702-page
collection of CIA documents made public in June 2007, that has been
described as "the family jewels" and appears to be the
"jewels" you referred to. If so, I believe you have
misrepresented the contents of the "family jewels" collection.
The collection describes shopworn
allegations by various journalists and wannabes that the CIA uses
political assassination as a weapon and that Operation Phoenix during
the Vietnam war was a CIA-run program of political assassinations.
Far from the CIA admitting, as you wrote,
"that it did indeed use targeted killings," in 1972, the then
Executive Director of the CIA, William E. Colby, with concurrence of the
then Director of CIA, Richard Helms, wrote that he could say under oath
that:
"a.
CIA does not and has not used political assassination as a weapon.
"b. Operation Phoenix was run not by the CIA but by the
Government of Vietnam, with the support of the CORDS element of the U.
S. Military Assistance Command in coordination with several U. S.
agencies including CIA.
"c. Operation Phoenix in not and was not a program of
assassination."
Mr. Haas, I have been unable to
find any authoritative reference that, by any stretch of imagination,
could be accurately characterized as a report by the Washington Post--or
any other publication--that the CIA "admitted that it did indeed
use targeted killings."
In the same 2 Sep 07 note, you wrote:
"My story has been vetted by a number of official
sources!"
Mr. Haas, specifically what
"official sources"?
Also on 2 Sep 07, you wrote: "I
have now been invited by the Department of the Navy to present an
address about my story from the deck of the USS Brady, a cold war era
destroyer."
Mr. Haas, specifically which
office of the Department of the Navy extended the alleged invitation?
Specifically, when and where will you
present your story? On the deck of which USS Brady?
The National Association of Destroyer
Veterans has posted on its website what appears to be comprehensive
lists of every US Navy destroyer ever commissioned. See the links
at
http://www.destroyers.org/shipinfocenter/destroyer-info-ctr.htm.
I did not find any vessel named USS Brady on any of these lists.
Or, is it possible that you have been
invited to present you story on the deck of the starship U.S.S. Brady,
NCC-71500? See description and photos at http://members.aol.com/Griffworks/Brady.html.
On 2 Sep 07, you wrote: "I am
also slated to speak at a number of other high military venues,
something that would not be happening if my story were a lie."
Mr. Haas, specifically what
"high level military venues" are you slated to speak at?
Also, dates and locations, please?
On 2 Sep 07, you wrote: "Finally,
I have made it clear that I stand ready to testify before both the
Senate and House Select Committees on Intelligence."
Mr. Haas, you might wish to be
careful what you wish for. Those fellows customarily place
witnesses under oath.
On 2 Sep 07, you wrote: "Both
the Department of the Army and my command are aware of my book, have
read it, and a number of general officers and current and/or retired CIA
personnel have gone out of their way to get autographed copies."
Mr. Haas, do you mean to imply
that the Department of the Army has endorsed the content of your book?
If so, specifically, what reviewing
authority signed the memorandum of record stating that "This
manuscript has been cleared for open publication and unrestricted
distribution."?
Also, since you seem to imply that
"a number of the general officers and current and/or retired CIA
personnel" vouch for your story, please name them. Every
retired CIA officer I know is convinced that your story is false and
that you are a pathetic armchair wannabe.
Additionally, they are disgusted that you have smeared the reputations
of the thousands of authentic members of the clandestine services who
have dedicated their lives and talents in service to our nation during
the 30 years you claim to have worked for the CIA.
On 2 Sep 07, referring to the alleged
"number of the general officers and current and/or retired CIA
personnel" you wrote: "I believe that their
knowledge of me and current operations is a bit more credible than yours
would be, considering you base your 'judgments' on 'one of his friends'.
Mr. Haas, I don't know the person
to whom you addressed the foregoing comments, but I have more than forty
years experience in various intelligence assignments and disciplines at
home and abroad.
Based on my experience, I believe you are
a fraud. However, I will happily reconsider my opinion if you can
provide verifiably accurate answers to the questions I posed above.

FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE – Jan. 27, 2007
WOMAN ORDERED ARRESTED OVER BLOG EXPOSING EX-HUSBAND’S MILITARY
FRAUD
A California woman who posted information on her blog exposing crimes
and military fraud by her ex-husband was charged with contempt of court
by a Florida judge on January 25, 2007 for refusing to take it down. A
warrant was issued for her arrest.
Kristen Rhoad, of Chula Vista, California, had previously been
accused of domestic violence and cyberstalking because of her blog, The
Rhoad Warrior (http://rhoadwarrior.blogspot.com/),
by Phil Haberman, her ex. On September 7, 2006, Judge Robert B. Bennett
Jr., of the 12th Judicial Circuit for Sarasota County, ordered Rhoad to
"remove or cause to be removed all blogs, e-mails or other
web-based communications" about Haberman. Rhoad, believing her
First Amendment rights were violated, has not complied with the order.
Haberman was first profiled in the media by the Dallas Observer on
September 1, 2005. An article entitled "G.I. Jerk–Haberman claims
he fought with Special Forces in Iraq, but he’s about as real as
Rambo," cast doubt on Haberman’s story of military
accomplishments and Iraq war injuries.
Haberman was next profiled on Lovefraud.com, a website based in
Atlantic City, NJ, that teaches people how to recognize and avoid
sociopaths. In a story posted in November, 2005, Lovefraud published
Rhoads’s contention that Haberman married her simply to collect more
money from the military. (http://www.lovefraud.com/03_trueLovefraudStories/Phil_Haberman_military_fraud.html
)
Articles disputing Haberman’s military claims were also posted by
the P.O.W. Network, which has been unmasking false military credentials
since 1998, and by Greensickle.com and the Irritated Vet blog, both
written by military veterans.
Judge Bennett refused to admit Rhoad’s evidence that her
allegations were true in the Sept. 7 hearing. His order, issued in
Sarasota family court, demanded that all these websites take down their
information about Haberman. "I don’t know how you go about doing
that, but that’s going to be required," Bennett said during the
hearing. Lovefraud.com published an extensive story about Bennett’s
initial ruling. (http://www.lovefraud.com/03_trueLovefraudStories/Phil_Haberman_cons_legal_system.html
)
Creative Loafing, an alternative weekly newspaper in Sarasota,
published a story about the controversy on January 24, 2007. Legal
experts cited in the Creative Loafing article said that Bennett’s
ruling probably violated the First Amendment.

In this case, uniform doesn't make the man
A defendant in court claims he's an Air Force colonel, but
officials disagree
Marlon A. Walker, Staff Writer
A Virginia man could face federal charges of impersonating
military personnel, thanks to a state Highway Patrol trooper who
spotted inconsistencies with the man's uniform.
The man, Freddie Lee Hall of Chesapeake, Va., had come to the
Johnston County Courthouse in Smithfield on Monday for charges
in connection with an accident he was involved in over the
summer. He was wearing what appeared to be the uniform of a
military officer, said Trooper D.W. Green.
After the wreck, the trooper who responded had told Green,
Hall said he was a colonel in the Air Force, that he was on
leave from Iraq and had flown missions while overseas. When
Green saw Hall Monday, he immediately knew the man was an
impostor.
"The rank he was wearing would not be used by any member
of the armed forces," Green said. "The uniform did not
have a nametag or wings on his uniform [signifying his flight
experience]. He had no ribbons or medals. Also he was indoors,
and he was wearing a hat.
"The only time you wear that [inside] is when you're
reporting for pay."
Green, who has 27 years of military experience as a member of
the National Guard, contacted Seymour Johnson Air Force Base,
which sent three officials to the courthouse to check out Hall.
By the time they arrived, Green said, Hall had partially
changed out of the uniform and was wearing a gray sweatshirt.
When he went before a judge on the charges related to the
accident, he asked for a continuance. When he did so, he was
asked to confirm that he was a member of the military, including
his rank, and that he was on leave from Iraq. He said yes to
all.
Air Force officials interviewed Hall, but Green said they
were unable to charge Hall with impersonating an officer under
the Stolen Valor Act because some of the criteria were not
applicable.
Hall was charged by Smithfield police with misdemeanor
possession of stolen property. When the Air Force officials went
to Hall's car to see the uniform, Green said, they learned that
both his license plate and the car he was driving had been
reported stolen.
He was taken to the Johnston County jail but made bail
Friday, jail records show.
Green said FBI officials are now looking into possible
federal impersonation charges against Hall.

Corps questions rapper on alleged Marine past
By Kimberly Johnson - Staff writer
Posted : Wednesday Apr 25, 2007 5:34:36 EDT
Budding Dallas-based hip-hop artist and Billboard Music chart topper
Steve Austin says a lot of things in his past have shaped his “banging
beats,” most notably his time in the Marine Corps.
With the April 24 release of his new album, “800 LB Gorilla,”
it’s a subject the former staff sergeant, who now is known as the
Bioniq MC, was only too happy to talk about with Marine Corps Times.
“My music is a mirror image of my soul and the life experiences I have
gone through,” he said in a press release sent to this newspaper,
offering to speak “about how being in the Marines influenced” his
music.
He said he was inspired to join the Corps by two uncles who were
leathernecks — one killed in action, the other wounded — and a need
for some grounding in his young adult life, the self-proclaimed high
school valedictorian said in a recent telephone interview.
“I had a lot of abilities and succeeded at a lot of things, but
when adversity would come, I would often take the easy road out,” said
Austin, whose real name is Stephen Hall, according to the New York-based
American Society of Composers, Artists and Publishers.
The only problem is, the Marine Corps has never heard of him.
A search of Corps personnel records based on his real name, given
service dates and ethnicity, turned up dry, according to one Marine
official. “No one matches the Stephen Hall with whom you’ve
spoken,” he said. A representative of the National Personnel Center in
St. Louis — the clearinghouse of service records for all services —
also found no record of the singer’s time in the Corps, or in any
other service.
After the initial phone interview, Marine Corps Times made numerous
attempts to contact the performer through his publicist for
clarification about his claimed prior service — all of which went
unanswered. Austin refused to provide any information that would
substantiate his claim or assist in a military record search, such as
his date of birth, the date he entered service, where he went to boot
camp or the last four digits of his Social Security number.
In addition to that, Austin’s story could not be substantiated with
the unit he claimed to serve with, 4th Reconnaissance Battalion. First
Sgt. Carlos Sepeda, who has been with the unit for more than a decade,
could find no record of Austin.
Sepeda added that Austin’s claimed rank would have been difficult
to achieve after four years in the active duty, which is what Austin
claimed. “It would be hard; I’ve never seen it,” he said. “Most
staff sergeants have eight or more years before they’re in the
zone.”
During the phone interview, Austin said his tenure as a Marine was
“four and four,” referring to four years’ active duty, followed by
four years in the Individual Ready Reserve. He said got out of the Corps
in 2000 as an “E-6.”
When asked about his prior Corps service, Austin quickly parroted the
recon mantra: “swift, silent and deadly.” While he was shy about
giving much detail about his duties there, he did say he was a war
veteran and served with his unit in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert
Storm in 1991.
He said he decided to go recon because of the challenge, he said.
“I’m going to go where they need the highest scores, the most
fitness. I’ve always been driven to do the best. It gave me fortitude.
I knew when I went in and got out that I could do anything.”
In the meantime, his career has been on the rise. His new single,
“Bussa Move,” is listed as No. 8 on Billboard’s R&B Hip-Hop
Single Sales. The Dallas Observer has dubbed him the city’s Rapper of
the Year.
Sepeda, the first sergeant, said he was concerned at the idea of
someone masquerading as a former recon Marine.
“We take the Marine Corps very seriously, especially the recon
family,” he said. “For someone to say they were there” — and not
be — “it’s very disturbing.” |

The second charge against Hammons is Violation of Oath of Office, which
alleges
he was pictured on the state Marine Corps League website wearing a staff
sergeant's uniform with a Bronze Star Medal with a single star.
According to the charges, "this is fraud given the contents of your
DD-214, which indicated that you were a private when discharged, having

The final charge is Conduct Unbecoming a Member or Officer of the Marine
Corps League, alleging that Hammons asked a representative of the Chapel

sign a letter Hammons had written to recommend him for re-election as

"We do our own investigation. It's done thoroughly, and it's done

Hammons, meanwhile, maintains that the allegations are part of an

allowed to attend this weekend's convention in Greenville.

said. ....." |

Then there's Harkin's military service. In a 1980 book, "Changing
the Guard: Power and Leadership in America," published by Simon and
Schuster and written by David Broder, "Ace" had this to say:
"I spent five years as a Navy pilot, starting in November of 1962. One
year was in Vietnam. I was flying F4s and F8s on combat air patrols and
photo-reconnaissance support missions. I did no bombing. I don't know what I
would have done if I had been ordered on bombing missions. But I did no
bombing."
In 1984, Sen. Barry Goldwater wrote to the Des Moines Register saying,
"I have seen the Navy record of Mr. Harkin, which is in the public
domain, and there's nothing to indicate he ever flew in combat, or even in
Vietnam. In fact, the only decoration he lists is the National Defense
Service Medal, which was awarded to everyone who served his country during a
given period of time."
Tom Harkin was fascinated by the military. In 1979, he suggested in the
Congressional Record that our national defense should include floating MX
missiles on barges on the Mississippi, solar-powered cruise missiles and
coal powered attack submarines.
And "Ace" Harkin claimed that he had never bombed.

Claims: initially claimed he
spent two tours in Vietnam. He revised his story and now claims he
served one tour as a helicopter door gunner with 1056 confirmed kills
and to have had his chopper shot down on several occasions.
He also said his DD-214 is
being kept at his older brother's house, so he couldn't show it. He
also said he had a IV-A selective service designation when he got
drafted.
Class IV-A:
Registrant with sufficient prior active service or who is a sole
surviving son.
He has the routine of a traumatized war veteran down pat. He tells
people of his friend who died in his arms and is very convincing, even
shedding tears
during bouts of his "PTSD
flashbacks"..... drunk, raving, and crying.
================================
His
older brother said he'd never even served in the military, much less in
Vietnam and there is no DD-214. "There should be a special
place in Hell reserved especially for the phonies feeding off the misery
or honor of others."

quote:
If the name you provided is spelled correctly, I do NOT find a listing
in the SEAL database for anyone named GERALD
CURTIS SHAPRUT. Be aware that I have also examined
possible alternate spellings, and names with similar pronunciations.
Unless he has
undertaken the unlikely action of a legal name change (an action for
which there would be court documentation) since his claimed service with
the SEAL Teams, and based upon the information you have provided, I can
state conclusively that GERALD
CURTIS SHAPRUT has NEVER completed SEAL training, and
he is not now, nor was he ever a US Navy SEAL or UDT “Frogman”.
Please be aware that the SEAL database includes the names of all men who
served with the Underwater Demolition Teams (“Frogmen”). Since 1983
when the UDTs were all re-commissioned as SEAL Teams it has been the
convention within the Naval Special Warfare community to use the modern
term “SEAL” when referring to all men who ever served in any of the
SEAL ‘precursor’ units.
The
guy is using at least two (2) identities (although Gerald Curtis Sharput
is his legal name)… and has apparently used more.

MAN
WHO POSED AS MILITARY GENERAL WITH PHONY RIBBONS CHARGED IN FEDERAL
COURT
A
Montebello man who misrepresented his military service by posing as a
U.S. Army General and recipient of the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and
the Silver Star, was due in court today to face federal charges of
violating Title 18, U.S .Code, Section 704 and 702; the unauthorized use
of military Medals or Decorations, and the unauthorized use of the
Uniform of the Armed Forces. Augustine Hernandez, 76, of
Montebello, was summoned to appear in court Wednesday but did not, due
to a medical condition which left him hospitalized, according to a
family member.
According
to a document filed in support of these charges in U.S. District Court
in Los Angeles, Hernandez was observed and photographed
wearing the uniform of a Major General of the U.S. Army while attending
a memorial ceremony in Montebello, California. The ceremony was
held in December 2006 to posthumously honor Guy Gabaldon, a U.S. Marine
who was awarded the Navy Cross.
The charges allege that Hernandez wore ribbons on his uniform during the
ceremony, including the Bronze Star, the Silver Star and the Purple
Heart.
Members of the military community who attended the ceremony became
suspicious of Hernandez’ uniform and ribbons and hired a private
investigator to investigate whether or not Hernandez was misrepresenting
his military service. The private investigator subsequently shared
evidence with the FBI indicating Hernandez had never attained the rank
of General and had never received the awards for which he wore ribbons.
An FBI check with the Federal Records Center in St. Louis,
Missouri containing Hernandez’ official military personnel folder
revealed that Hernandez was honorably discharged by the U.S. Army in
1954 as a Private, First Class, and contained no record of Hernandez
having earned the Silver Star, Bronze Star or the Purple Heart.
The
Silver Star, the fifth-highest military decoration that can be awarded
to a member of the U.S. Army, is a service medal and ribbon authorized
by Congress for the armed forces of the United States in December 1942.
The
Bronze Star, the tenth-highest military decoration that can be awarded
to a member of the U.S. Army, is a service medal and ribbon of the armed
forces of the United States, authorized by President Franklin Roosevelt
under Executive Order 9419 in February 1944.
The
Purple Heart is a service medal and ribbon of the armed forces of the
United States awarded in the name of the president to those who have
been wounded or killed while serving.
Hernandez
is scheduled to be back in court for a continuance of his hearing in
August 2007. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum
sentence of one year in jail and other penalties.
This
case was investigated by the FBI in Los Angeles and St. Louis and is
being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles.
==================================
Date: August 17, 2007
9:16:50 AM PDT
Gus Hernandez appeared in Federal Court yesterday and pled guilty to all
counts of impersonating a military officer, wearing the uniform of a
military officer and wearing the Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple
Heart without authorization and without being awarded those medals.
He also admitted that he did not receive a battlefield commission and
that his award certificates are bogus. He admitted that his highest rank
was a PFC in the Army.
Gus was sentenced to two years probation and a fine of $270.00.
The U.S. attorney asked for a $2,000 fine and community service but the
judge was lenient because of Gus' age, apparent ill health and his being
destitute. He was unable to pay the fine and was given one week to pay.
The FBI is shipping Gus's confiscated uniform, medals and ribbons to
their Washington D.C. office where it will be included in an FBI
traveling display and will be taken across the country for exhibit.
The FBI hopes to deter others from similar illegal acts.
The judge opined that the shame and humiliation was sufficient to deter
Gus from repeating what he has done.

Man Guilty of Lying About Service
The Columbian | December 28, 2007
A 64-year-old Vancouver man pleaded guilty Dec. 27 to using an altered
military discharge certificate to secure pension and medical benefits from
the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Merrick Hersey never served in the military and never received medals as he
claimed, according to a news release from Emily Langlie, spokeswoman for the
Western Washington U.S. District Attorney's Office.
Hersey used his false application to secure benefits totaling $2,687,
Langlie said. Hersey is scheduled to be sentenced by U.S. Magistrate Judge
Karen L. Strombom on March 21.
He was charged as part of "Operation Stolen Valor," an
investigation into fraudulent claims of military service.
According to the plea agreement, Hersey filed a falsified military service
discharge certificate and application with VA in February 2005 to qualify
for benefits. He claimed he was unable to work due to post-traumatic stress
disorder sustained during military service.
The falsified military discharge certificate claimed he was on active duty
with the U.S. Marine Corps from June 1967 through April 1968, that he had
been awarded two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star Medal and that he had
received an honorable discharge.
The Bronze Star is awarded to service members for valor or for meritorious
service. The Purple Heart
is awarded to Soldiers, Sailors, Marines or Airmen wounded or killed in
combat.
Use of an altered military discharge certificate to obtain benefits is
punishable by up to one year in prison and up to a $100,000 fine. As part of
his plea agreement, Hersey agreed to pay restitution, Langlie said.

Sirs,
I submit this apology to your site and to all Rangers and
combat veterans I have surely offended by my actions and
claims. On various site on the internet and to several
people I met I claimed to have been assigned to 3rd Ranger
Battalion and to have fought in Panama and the Battle of
Mogadishu.
These were nothing less than lies. While I did serve in
the US Army (1988-1991), I was a 31K (Combat Signaler) and was
not even Airborne Qualified, let alone a Ranger. I
served during Desert Shield/Desert Storm, but was not in the
theater, I was in Korea assigned to Charlie Company, 1st
Signal Battalion at Camp Colbern. Before being shipped
to Korea I served 11th ADA Brigade at Ft. Bliss, Texas
I cannot apologize profusely enough to the men who did live
through the deeds I lied to have been a part of. Because
of my job (I own a business) I interact with many veterans
passing through, usually make it a point of conversation.
After being exposed as a fraud, I had an encounter with a vet.
It was somehow liberating to state what my service consisted
of and not claiming any heroics. In the long run, being
busted is a good thing. I only hope that the men I
have offended, can find it in their hearts to forgive my
transgressions.
Thank you,
Fortunato Hinojosa III

That letter was dated 18 July 2006; however, he continued to
write lies about his military record after providing you with this
letter of apology. In the following posts as Speed_Addiction
on the Cycleforums website.
“I already put my time in the Army, Dude. I was in Iraq the
FIRST time we went there.”
09-12-2006 01:20 PM
[And then with regard to PFC Tillman being killed by friendly
fire] "In a confusing situation like that, Rangers identify
themselves by shouting, "Rangers!" or "Rangers
Ho!" 11-09-2006 05:50 PM
In the first post he claims to have been a Desert Storm veteran,
which is a lie according to his DD-214, and his own admission.
In the second post he is attempting to pass as someone
knowledgeable about Ranger combat operations, without actually
saying he's a Ranger. This is a violation of the spirit of
the agreement not to post lies about his military record,
especially coming from someone who was court-martialed and then
dishonorably discharged. The details about his deceit can be
seen at the attached web site.
