"Richard Wojtesky got a free
hair cut and talked to 17 News while his son was getting a trim.
"I have a bullet in there from Vietnam," Wojtesky said
pointing at his braced-up knee.
Wojtesky served in Vietnam for 12 years, earned two purple hearts, and
was a prisoner of war.
"I was missing in action 3 years 21 days and six seconds,"
Wojtesky recalled."

On 1970 reruns shown in 2002 of LET'S MAKE
A DEAL, claimed he was Special Forces SSG, 6 year POW.
I was watching an old episode of 'Let's
Make A Deal' and the introduced a man who said he was Larry Woods. They
went on to say he was a POW in Vietnam for 6 years and was Special
Forces. The Lawrence Woods you have listed state's Killed/Body Not
Recovered.

Claims:
Jimmy "Jake" Wright- Lt. Col USMC Pilot
claims he was shot down over Vietnam at
approx same time as John McCain, and even held as a
POW in the same POW camp as McCain!
Claims dates of service 1965-1975, USMC.
Obtained rank of LT.Col Light
Bomber Pilot, three tours of Vietnam,
received a Medical survey retirement from active duty due to
injury's received in combat.
He was shot down the first time in the 1960's and was rescued by an
army helicopter rescue team
Shot down the second time in 1970, said he was
4 clicks out of Hanoi, was captured and taken to a POW camp called
the "RANCH" and claims very few POW's who were taken there
survived.
He claims he was repatriated and moved to the Hanoi
Hilton (where McCain was) just prior to his release.
When asked about any awards or Medals he
received, he said he was given a POW Medal, and a Purple Heart.
Claims his POW records are not available along with everyone else's
because his missions or assignments were so top secret that he had
many alias', received a new identity and even carried a card on his
person during missions, that said if he was found dead during a mission etc. that his body was to be destroyed!

This is not "sad" at all. But, it is
"pathetic." It is all hogwash...a complete lie from
beginning to end.
I am Mike McGrath, NAM-POW Historian. There were
661 of who got out of that mess alive. Mr. Wright was never with
any one of us. The Department of Defense has no record of such a
person ever being missing or a POW.
I'd bet a hundred dollars on each of his points being
false.
He is not a commissioned officer, a LtCol.
He is not a pilot.
He was not shot down twice.
He was not shot down in North Vietnam. Not a POW.
He was not on any secret mission.
He was not a Naval Aviator (Marines do the same
training, get the same wing of gold.
No such thing as a "light bomber pilot"
No such thing as a "medical survey
retirement"
No such thing as a POW camp called the
"Ranch"
He can't name a single POW name he was with (survived
or died)
He wasn't near McCain or any of us
He did not receive the POW Medal. Only POWs got
this medal. It was not issued until 1987...what date did someone
"give" him the medal?
I could go on...point by point through his BS story.
It's a waste of your time.
My advice to you is to call up the DPMO official list
of 3,797 MIAs (to include all POWs, even those on "secret"
missions). Realize he is a fraud, then cut your losses and give
this fraud the bum's rush out of your life. The PMSEA
is at this address:
Mr. Wright (Indian name?) is not listed. He is a
fraud.

Claims numerous broken bones in escape attempt. Bounty on head by NVA
