I rode all over North America until the day I was 18 and

: I went to
Vietnam
as a sergeant, a weapons and small unit tactics expert. I did what is
now called ‘Black Ops.’ I was captured and held in a field interment
camp after having served 12 months of a 13 month tour – during which I
received two Purple Hearts. I was tortured for 13 days and then
‘rescued.’ I was then sent to the
US
for three years of reconstructive surgery and psychological treatment.

CLAIMS AND ACTUAL RECORD
|
|
I currently have 42
Directors who work on a volunteer basis for the Silver Rose and was
shocked to find out that we were infiltrated by a wanna be who is on
your list.
His name is
Jack Kazanjian of Washington Township, New Jersey. He misrepresented
himself to myself and as a result was added as a Director of The Order
of the Silver Rose about 6 months ago, his position has been
terminated effective today March 3. 2003. He currently is
spreading posters and other assorted material representing himself as
a Director of the Order of the Silver Rose and we have again terminated
his right to represent our organization.
I wanted you to
know that Jack had told me that he was being presented a Special Award
by the Governor of New Jersey as Vietnam Veteran of the year (which I
find was false) plus he has loaded me with other discrepancies that
have caused great embarrassment to our group.
(In a phone call April 3, 2004,
Kazanijian now claims he never represented himself as the award
recipient - only that he was CONGRATULATING the award recipient)
We regret any
affiliation with Mr. Jack Kazanjian and wish anyone interested to know
that we apologize for any comments or statements he has made
regarding our Mission.
He has no
right to represent us and has been informed by both our Attorney and
registered mail of these facts. If you or anyone has any questions
regarding this feel free to contact me at 504-595-8949 or feel free to
email.

schizophrenic, living in Ontario. Among her many delusions are
those that involve being a teenaged and early 20s age commando in
several wars, including the one in Vietnam, Cambodia, Israel, and the
Gulf. In all of these, she was imprisoned, tortured and
repeatedly raped, usually by high ranking people. She has also
been the concubine of Pol Pot, the sex slave of Bin Laden, the
understudy of Hirohito, and the confidante of Nixon (in these last two
she was under 10 years old). She is also the love child of
Marilyn Monroe and John Kennedy. She was born in 1961 as Sylvia
Morscher, but in the last few years has started
to use other names, such as Caroline Kennedy, and Elizabeth Kennedy.
She legally changed her name to the latter this year.
.....
It doesn't surprise me that she has been annoying you:
she has done so to many individuals and groups, all with the same
lament. She's been banned from government property as a nuisance
here in Ontario, and I'm sure the Whitehouse cringes everytime she
calls. the local police are used to her phonecalls complaining
about her father whom she claims raped and mutilated her when she was
a child. Another one of her delusions is that everyone she knows
is a clone, or series of them, and they're all out to harvest her
organs, and otherwise persecute her.
She really has no ability to tell fact from fantasy, so
don't worry that she's deliberately trying to claim POW status.
I'm sure it's insulting to you and the people who really are suffering
the effects of imprisonment, but I have a feeling that many of those
who falsely claim this status have a few screws loose.

"NEVER FORGOTTEN"
Rig pays tribute to the fighting spirit of
America's veterans, POWs and MIAs.
J.B. Hunt driver Dave Kinzel captains a one-of-a-kind 2005 Century
Class Freightliner with eyecatching artwork that honors the fierce
fighting spirit of America's veterans and its POWs and MIAs.
"Never Rest...Until They Are Home," reads the inscription
along the fairings. Across the visor is, "Freedom Don't Come
Free," and on the hood, "You Are Never Forgotten." It
reminds all who see it of the men and women who never came back.
The special truck is the result of a collaboration between a group of
veterans working at the Freightliner plant in Cleveland, N.C., and
Rolling Thunder Inc., a nonprofit organization championing veterans'
causes.
Kinzel drove this truck in the 2004 Rolling Thunder National
"Ride For Freedom" motorcycle run, a day-long demonstration in
Washington, D.C., honoring the nation's thousands of POWs and MIAs.
Attracting more than 850,000 motorcycle riders, many of them U.S. Armed
Forces veterans, the event is typically held on the day before Memorial
Day.
Four trucks – one each year since 2002 – have been customized
with similar patriotic artwork. This Century Class model, part of the
J.B. Hunt Transport Services fleet, is the third in the series. Two more
belong to Covenant Transport, and one to Salem Leasing.
The fifth Freightliner in the series was to take part in the 19th
annual "Ride for Freedom."
To choose participating carriers, Freightliner approaches customers
with current orders and asks permission to customize one truck for this
once-in-a-lifetime ride. The understanding is that after the truck takes
part in the event, the carrier takes delivery and assigns an armed
services veteran to its seat.
Driving this rolling memorial is considered an honor.
Kinzel has driven for J.B. Hunt for 19
years. As a former U.S. Marine, he saw service in Vietnam and spent two
months in captivity as a POW.
With a POW-MIA cap pulled low to shade his eyes, the burly trucker
takes this Freightliner over the road throughout 48 states.
Kinzel, who makes his home in Twentynine Palms, Calif., is the first
trucker veteran to drive one of these trucks in the "Ride for
Freedom" and the first POW and
carrier driver to do so. In past events, Freightliner's own employees
drove the trucks. Local Rolling Thunder riders and plant employees
traveled with him from the Freightliner plant to the nation's capitol
and back.
Kinzel will never forget that day. He remembers streets thick with
motorcycles, all surrounding his truck. Departing from the Pentagon, the
riders made their way over the Memorial Bridge and finally up to Ohio
Drive, to the war memorials, including the Vietnam "wall"
inscribed with the names of that war's dead.
"I needed a trailer-load of Kleenex on my first trip to the
wall. It was probably the most emotional experience I've ever had,"
Kinzel says.
"The respect this truck receives from veterans and the younger
generation is really moving," he adds. "It gives me the
feeling patriotism is coming back to this country."
When Kinzel accepted the keys to the decorated Freightliner, he
couldn't have known the experience would help free him of the pain he
brought back home with him from the jungles of Vietnam – pain he could
never bring himself to share, not even with his wife and family.
"It's difficult to talk about our experiences unless it's with
someone who's been there and as a POW. Because of this truck, I have
gone through a healing process that is unbelievable."
The Healing Begins
The truck attracts a remarkable amount of attention. People come to
look when Kinzel pulls into a truckstop or rest area, or they call to
him over the CB. Many are themselves military veterans.
"It's unbelievable. The CB goes crazy," he says. "At
any of our terminals, people come out to take pictures. On the road,
cars slow down, people hang out of windows."
A Kansas state trooper pulled him over just to take a picture and get
a closer look.
Kinzel recalls a POW he met at a veteran's reunion in Indiana. The
man, a POW for 18 months, came up to the truck and then collapsed,
overcome with emotion. With his own voice choking up, Kinzel related how
they sat down, talked and cried together.
"His stories were almost identical to
mine. We had held it all in and lived with it for so long before we
could get it out. [The truck] opened doors," he says.
"I've been able to talk more about my experiences in the past 18
months than I have in the past 40 years. Some I still can't talk
about."
When not hauling freight, Kinzel takes the Freightliner to truck
shows, 4th of July and Memorial Day parades, and veterans reunions.
"These reunions honor the vets, lift them up and help the
healing process for those of us who served in Vietnam," he says.
"I think it helps make life a little easier for those families who
have endured a loss when they realize people still care about the MIAs
and POWs who served this country."

Floyd Kiser lost his childhood and his lifelong friend
when he was shot down in Vietnam.
Never found, he was listed as MIA and remains so
today. Over four years ago, building a veteran's memorial park in
Lincoln County became a dream for Kiser.
A dream that became reality last Saturday. Himself
a POW in Laos, Kiser came home from the war with memories he
rarely speaks of if at all. At 62, he suffers from lung damage caused by
exposure to Agent Orange........
=================================================
Published
on page two in the Ruidoso News on February 22, 2006:
"Retraction
On
Dec 9, 2005, the Ruidoso News published an article by Julie
Carter titled A Day of Honor referring to Vietnam War veteran, Floyd
Kiser, as a POW in that war.
Inquiries from the members of the National
POW Association questioning Kiser's POW status led to a record search
for validation of Kiser's claim. At this time no records that are
accessible without Kiser's permission validate his statements. Kiser
has been asked to provide proof of his rank, medals worn and POW
status but has not provided them to the News or to other officials.
The Ruidoso News retracts the naming
of Kiser as a POW until such time proof is provided by Kiser or the
Department of Defense."

Records indicate he served in NAM. Was NOT a POW.

Dear Ms. Carter (Dear Editor): Concerning your
article of December 9, 2005, entitled "Day
of Honor, Day of Remembrance"....It was very interesting reading
about Mr. Kiser. However, I'm afraid you've been hoodwinked,
fooled by a fraud. Neither Mr. Kiser, nor anyone by a similar
name was ever a POW/MIA during the Vietnam War era. You can
access the official Department of Defense data base on the real 3,792
MIAs/POWs during Vietnam at:
http://www.dtic.mil/dpmo/pmsea/files.htm
You can call, during Washington, DC working hours to
verify the facts with Mr. Larry Greer, the
Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office (DPMO), Public
Affairs Officer at: 703-699-1169. Mr. Greer is info copied on this message. He will be awaiting
your call. He will confirm that there are
no secret missions, no men left off the data base, or any other phony
excuse Mr. Kiser or his family comes up with.
I notice in one of your correspondences that you stated
that Mr. Greer was getting VA benefits. If
he made a claim to the VA that he was a
POW, and that was a basis for him being granted VA benefits, then he might have committed fraud, Title 18, Section 1001.
I will report this possibility to the VA Office
of the Inspector General for their perusal. The VA OIG is info copied on this message.
I see that Govenor Bill Richardson sent a message of gratitude to Mr. Kiser.
I will be notifying the Governor's office that his staff did a lousy
job of vetting Mr. Kiser. As well, an apology should be offered
to the veteran's memorial committee,
Carrizozo mayor and council members, the 44th
Army Band, Alamogordo Air Force Junior ROTC, Post 57 of the
American Legion from Capitan, Alamogordo Marine Corps League,
Mescalero American Legion, Ruidoso American Legion, Ruidoso Downs VFW,
Alamogordo VFW, Lincoln County Sheriff's Posse, Camp Sierra Blanca
Color Guard and many citizens from several counties.
I am retired Navy Captain John M. McGrath. I was
a POW in North Vietnam or 5 years 8 months.
Mr. Kiser was never with us, nor any POW in
Laos, Cambodia, China, or South Vietnam. There were 661 of who
got out alive, and Mr. Kiser wasn't one of us. We are members of
a 501 (c) (19) veterans organization for
the Vietnam POWs. We are all highly
insulted that this man presumes to be one of us. He didn't
suffer with us, he never endured torture with us, he is a disgrace for
making such a ridiculous claim. He may be dying, but he should
be ashamed for lying to his family and leaving
them with a false story that they will always wonder about. How
self centered and unfair.
You may use this letter as a Letter to the Editor, if
you like.
Sincerely,
John M. McGrath

.... said Kiser was serving in the Navy as a radio technician on the USS Navaro in 1965. During a trip into Vietnam, Buchanan said Kiser was approached by an unidentified Marine captain who recruited him to go on a covert government mission into the depths of Vietnam and Cambodia.
Kiser was captured and imprisoned by the Khmer Rouge at a Cambodian labor camp, where Captain Kai mercilessly tortured Kiser and his colleagues, Buchanan said. Captain Kai would stick his finger into the bullet wound of another soldier and twist it around, repeatedly saying "You want to kill me Yankee, don't you?" he said.
"At that time in his mind, that is when the horror begins," Buchanan said of his client.
Buchanan said Kiser escaped and finished his tour of duty. During the next three decades Kiser repeatedly applied for disability from the U.S. government because of his torture but was rejected.
It wasn't until after Kiser shot Feeley, Buchanan said, that a psychologist with the Department of Veterans Affairs determined that Kiser suffers from the stress disorder, making him eligible for disability.
.... Pesci said Kiser and his attorney could not produce a document known as a DD214, which details a military man's service record.
"There is no documentation of this at all," Pesci said.

This case was set for
retrial: In pleading guilty the 2nd time, he was rewarded with less
time, now serving 4 to 10 on the attempt murder and 4 to 10 for use of a
deadly weapon served consecutively. He had received 5 to 12 and half and
5 to 12 and half in the original sentencing. His false POW story would
have been made public in the re-trial. He
will be eligible for parole on the first count immediately. Victim
impact statements are set for early December in court.

Vietnam Vet and former POW Harry
Klein dies before realizing his dream
Janet Schrader,
Democrat Reporter
Published: July 03, 2006 06:17 pm
Harry “Dusty” Klein wanted to go to the
National Veterans Wheelchair Games last year. He couldn’t go because
he was in the VA Medical Center in Lake City having his only remaining
leg removed. This year, Klein was all ready to head for Alaska the first
of July to compete in the games, when he died unexpectedly in his home
early Wednesday morning, June 28.
Feisty and full of life, Klein didn’t bat an eye when they told him he
had to have his remaining leg amputated.
“Take it off, let me get healed up, give me my other leg and get out
of the way,” the 58-year-old Vietnam veteran told them.
Using two prosthetic legs and a cane, Klein walked on-stage as the
keynote speaker at a Memorial Day program seven months later. He was
determined to be ready to go to Alaska this July to compete in the
National Veterans Wheelchair Games.
Klein had planned to compete in several events, bowling, air rifles and
table tennis. He’d wanted to compete in the wheelchair race. But along
with the new work on his amputated leg, Klein suffered a silent heart
attack when he was in the hospital and needed to build back his
strength.
Klein served in the Army and fought in Vietnam. In
Vietnam, Klein was a supply escort, infantryman and reconnaissance scout
behind enemy lines. Klein was a POW for 18 months.
“I was at what they nicknamed the Hanoi Hilton,” says Klein, who
served with the 101st Airborne Division. “I had been there for some
time and saw that some of the guys didn’t make it. I just sat down one
day and said to God, ‘If you get me home one more time, I will do
whatever you want.’ I was one of the first POWs released.”
Back in the states, Klein attended Purdue University, graduating with a
degree in engineering and architecture. After starting his own business,
he worked with CBS for 17 years as a dancer and choreographer,
ultimately owning 13 dance studios throughout the US. In 1997, he became
an ordained minister. He worked with two youth groups and volunteered at
the VA medical center chaplain’s office.
Klein lived near Dowling Park on several acres where he was raising
thoroughbreds. Klein had 13 horses, three of them well-bred brood mares
he bought from local thoroughbred man Curly Taylor.
“These girls have top-of-the-line papers,” Klein boasted with pride.
“They are out of Sagittarius and First Pretense.” Klein said his
goal was to teach riding to children with disabilities and special
needs.
Klein said the more he shared his blessings with others, the more he was
blessed. When he lost his second leg, he visited 20 to 25 patients a day
at the VA medical center, rolling the halls of the hospital in his
wheelchair. By the time he left the hospital eight months later, he was
able to walk from room to room.
“Because of great therapy and determination, I am actually walking,”
he said. “I am now walking with the use of a cane, and by July 4, I
will walk with nothing except myself and the grace of God.”
Klein had good advice for those with disabilities: “Don’t listen to
any people who have negativity. Do what you feel is right, and never
give up because anything is possible. Believe me, I know.”
“This is so sad,” said Veteran’s Medical Center spokesperson Mary
Kay Hollingsworth. “He was truly an inspiration to our patients and
our employees. He was positive-minded and wanted to make a difference to
both veterans and disabled children through his horse farm. He will be
missed tremendously by the VA family.” |
Dear Ms. Schrader...I don't have a time-line on the
below article which is attributed to you. Perhaps I am not the
first to report to you that you have been defrauded by false claims of
Mr. Klein.
No man named Klein was ever with any one of us, the
real 660 former POWs of the Vietnam War, nor is he known by Department
of Defense in this regard. All 3,797 MIAs (including the POWs)
are listed at the official Department of Defense web site:
Mr. Larry Greer, DPMO PAO is info copied on this
message. The VA Office of the Inspector General is info copied on this
message.
If Mr. Klein gave any of his false claims to the VA for
increased medical benfits, he could have violated federal laws.
If the VA OIG determines that Mr. Klein gave false testimony to the VA
in this regard, I hope that any financial benefits gained through
fraud are recouped from his
family or estate.
Perhaps you should tell Mary Kay Hollingsworth that her
name is mentioned in your article posted at this site. She might
be interested that she, too was duped.
You are welcome to use this letter as a "Letter to
the Editor" if your publisher determines it is newsworthy.
Sincerely,
John M. McGrath, Captain USN (Ret)

Sansone offers helping hand, heart to fellow veterans

Knowlton, the Green Beret, doesn't talk too much
about things that happened in Vietnam, but the chance encounter with
that woman in McDonald's -- that one small miracle -- is one he
likes to share.
There is another story, but it takes some
prodding to get to.
"Tell about who was in the camp with
you," Sansone said, encouraging Knowlton to open up.
Knowlton sat quietly in his Jay Street
apartment, breathing with difficulty. Then his eyes lit up.
"I was a prisoner of war in the Hanoi
Hilton," Knowlton said. "It was the same place John McCain was. He was one cell
down.".....

EXPOSED
Uticans' claim of POW status
unsubstantiated
Names not on Pentagon list; man, woman say stories true
Sat, Nov 13, 2004
KRISTA J. KARCH
Observer-Dispatch
The Pentagon agency that keeps track of Vietnam prisoners of war said
Friday it has no record that two people profiled in an Observer-Dispatch
Veterans Day story were POWs.
In the story, Gloria Fuller and Webster Knowlton, both of Utica, each
gave their accounts of time spent in prison camps during the Vietnam War
more than three decades ago.
After the story's publication, some readers raised questions about the
veracity of Knowlton's and Fuller's stories, prompting the O-D to make
more inquiries.
On Friday, John Horn, division chief of document management at the U.S.
Defense Prisoners of War/Missing in Action Personnel Office, said
neither Gloria Fuller nor Webster Knowlton are on the POW list. Only
those individuals on this list are officially recognized by the
Department of Defense as having been a POW or missing in action.....

Claims he was a member of a special group made up
mostly of troops from the "Hell's Kitchen, " section of New
York City, because of their toughness. They would go out on
missions mainly at night to ambush the enemy. Their preferred
method of killing the enemy was "garroting," yes he says
this.
He was captured along with other
members of his "squad," They where made to stand neck
deep in water, during heavy rains. They where also forced to
listen to "White Christmas," to be reminded of home. Eventually
he and two others escaped.
After his discharge he was in VA
hospital in Eugene, Oregon. To this day he cant listen to
"White Christmas," does not like rain. He used
to "hit the dirt," every time he heard a helicopter over
head.
