He also hosts a local cable TV show regarding veteran's issues. Therefore, he has placed himself on the frontlines of the local veteran's community, all the while he is lying in the face of these veterans who come to him for assistance or as a guest on his show. Subject: Re: liar
I may have lied about being a POW, even
though I was in enemy hands for a short time, but at least
I served. Did you serve two tours of duty in ANY armed conflict? I
did. Did you ever kill an enemy of the US...I had over 80
confirmed kills. Those of us who were there had a
saying..."Vietnam - If you haven't been there - SHUT THE HELL
UP"
=================================== Reportedly has lied for over FIFTY YEARS on anything and everything....he continues to deny he's lying. |
SO MUCH MORE - updated 10/2009 07/2005 UPDATE: Corley never signed an F180. FOIA filed - St. Louis found NO records when provided with full name, date of birth and social security number. Now if Mr. Corley wants to sign that F180, or provide the DD214 with a service number, we'd be glad to do it again. |

| CREVITS,
WILLIAM L AKA CREVITES, WILLIAM L
|
04/2009 | . | QUOTE: Bill Crevits was one of the Air Force's fair-haired boys -- a West Pointer. It was no wonder he had been promoted early for every rank up to and including full Colonel. His selection for Brigadier General was almost anti-climactic to those who knew him. When Bill put on his star, his next stop would be the bowels of the Pentagon for three years. Before that, however, came a five-day charm school at Fort McNair, Virginia which all new general officers attend and finally a three day orientation in his new shop, Strategic Nuclear War Planning. With his orientations completed and less than a month to go before becoming Brigadier General Crevits, Bill wrangled a trip back to Korat for one last thing fling with his boys where he was still "˜The Colonel". Although the commander of Pacific Air Forces had forbidden it, "The Colonel" couldn't resist one last ride over Laos in an F-105 fighter bomber. Besides central Laos wasn't particularly hot and a man owed it to himself to prove what he was made of one last time. The flight call sign was called STONE. Bill Crevits was STONE LEAD Their target wasn't anything spectacular. A truck park which the wing had hit regularly for the past year or so. This time the anti-aircraft gunners were luckier than they had ever dared hope. A round punctured the Thud's hydraulic system. Within seconds the fighter became uncontrollable. STONE LEAD ejected. Bill was captured within seconds of hitting the ground. END QUOTE |

Claims POW held in
Cambodia, Navy SEAL, 3 tours Vietnam. Claims West Point Instructor, 5
years. Claims retired after 28 years "of active duty in the
Army" in 1997 - "after discharge from the Navy, the young
couple joined the Army's ROTC program in order to finish
college....."
Claims POW/NAVY SEAL, 3 tours Nam ================= Mr. William “Bill”
Cross is an instructor at Tinker AFB, OK. As recently as May 2007, he is
still claiming to be a former Navy Seal, POW and other outrageous
things. Mr. Cross was teaching a class, and when the class
returned from break he started to tell us the he was a “Navy Seal”
who was in ============================= He made claims of being a Navy SEAL and a Vietnam
PW. It appears he is very convincing when relating his stories.
Witnesses describe him as becoming very "emotional" and in
some cases moved to tears. Last year Cross launched into a number of
outlandish claims about his Navy SEAL service and of course the PW
issue. The OKLAHOMAN, article by ==============================
Mr. Cross is currently an instructor at Tinker Air
Force Base where he administers supervisory training to civilian
and active-duty military personnel. ..... his tales being told to
active-duty military and Federal Employees on a military installation
reprehensible.
He claims he and the two other members of his Special
Forces Scout team were ambushed by the Kher Mehr Rouge. His
scout team mates were killed. He some how survived but was taken
hostage . After three days he had enough and escaped, but only after
killing the three man detail that was detaining him.
He continues by telling the class, of mostly veterans,
how he taught for four years at West Point, was a POW in Cambodia,
knew John Kerry, was a SEAL, BUD instructor, obtained an Engineering
degree from Auburn and before being hired by the Mid Del Vo-Tech (they
administer some of the training on Tinker) he was the vice president
of a major corporation.
He continues his tales for the entire 5 day class. The
only time he isn't talking about his tales of "daring-do" ,
he is telling us about his son who is returning from Afghanistan that
very week so we will only have class a half a day on the day he
returns. He expanded his thoughts by telling the class that his
son's best friend had been killed the week before and that he was
going to help him cope with the lose since he had experienced similar
horror.
.... mention the part about his son because an acquaintance
of mine had him as an instructor a few months ago and Cross claimed
the exact same scenario.

Just thought I would let you know one of our new supervisors
attended a week long class over at the Tinker Vo-Tec.
Mr. Cross the
Decorated Navy Seal from Vietnam taught the class. He
told me that Mr.
Cross brought everybody to tears several times. xxxx
told me that one of
the students came from 135 sheet metal made him
a real nice name plate
for his desk on the last day of class. He said that
he told stories
about being a instructor at Westpoint for four years,
and that he was
personal friends with Col. Hal Moore.

ACTUAL
RECORDS
04/26/2003 ALL of those who were held as POWs in any capacity, in any country whether we were officially at war with them or not are known to our government and recorded. Mr. William Cross is not only NOT a SEAL, he is NOT a POW and never was. All surviving POWs of the war in Southeast Asia are recorded on the government web site at http://www.dtic.mil/dpmo/pmsea/files.htm. Having discovered the problems he was in, he and/or his daughter have contrived to alter his claims from "I was a SEAL" to "I worked with the SEALs". However, they didn't alter the story enough; in Vietnam the SEALs had support personnel, but no one who was not a SEAL worked with them. His lie is still a lie. He has attempted to continue with his false POW claims and that, too, is a complete lie. The POW Network has posted his name so that all might see and learn of his disgraceful and shameful conduct. Steve Robinson Friday, March 21, 2003 3:38 PM I have been in touch with William "Bill" Cross and learned from him that two pieces of information his daughter, Niki, provided to us about his military background were in error.
Cross, a
retired Army officer, was for nine years in the U.S. Navy, where
he worked with some Navy Seals, but was not himself a Seal. While
serving three tours of duty in Vietnam for the navy, Cross was a
detainee in a Cambodian prison for a lengthy period, but is not
considered a prisoner of war because the U.S. was never at war with
Cambodia.
I hope
this clears up your questions.
Sincerely,
Karen Klinka

Claims retired Major General from the U.S. Air Force
and hold five different Doctorate Degrees. Also claims to have
been a POW during the Vietnam War, but because of his classified
mission he was on, he can tell of his time in captivity.
Investigated for
impersonating a General Officer while picking up his medications at a
Base Pharmacy. Apparently he was telling employees he was a two
star general.
He uses a business card with "Maj. Gen. Dr. Cullen". The business card showed both USAF Command Surgeon and Master Pilot Wings. He was promoting some sort of candle sale celebrating/supporting deployed warriors. .... suspicious over the lack of information on the flyer.
Claims
he is a two star general in the air force. He introduces himself as
General Cullen. Pope Air Force base is also in the vicinity. He
has been on base at the medical facilities with his daughter in law
and introduced himself as general. He is also trying to sell
candles that supposedly benefit the wounded warriors, but not one of
the affiliations on his brochure is a real organization. He is
a scam artist and may simply pocket the money. He is disgrace.

| Cunningham,
Donnie aka Donald Eugene Cunningham (deceased) |
Denison TX | 05/2005 |
Herald Democrat
.....Dixon says Mr. Cunningham was two
weeks shy of being 17 years old when he entered the Navy in September of
1965. Soon afterwards, he became a POW. An American medical helicopter
accidentally spotted the camouflaged camp and the POWs were finally
rescued. Mr. Cunningham, now weighing under 100 pounds, was among fewer
than 100 men who came out of that jungle prison. Of those few, a number
succumbed to the illnesses and injuries sustained while held captive and
died soon after being rescued. Others, including Mr. Cunningham, lived a
number of years, but suffered permanent physical and emotional damage.
He was released from the military in the fall of the same year in which
he'd enlisted. He and Dixon were living in Pottsboro when he died in
September of 1996 from physical ailments resulting from his Vietnam
service, according to Dixon. |
