14: OSCAR WINNER STILL STRONG AT 81

Jane Fonda, 81. Actress, model and fitness guru.

The thrice-divorced mother of three has been a frequently controversial political activist — she was a staunch opponent of the Vietnam War, earning her the nickname 'Hanoi Jane' — and championed feminist causes, saying in 2017: 'I've been raped, I've been sexually abused as a child and I've been fired because I wouldn't sleep with my boss.' Currently stars in Netflix series Grace And Frankie.

CLAIM TO FAME: A legend in Hollywood, she has won two Best Actress Oscars and been nominated several other times. Has also shifted more than 17 million copies of her legendary exercise videos.

WISE WORDS: 'To be a revolutionary you have to be a human being. You have to care about people who have no power.'

ROYAL TIES: It's not entirely clear — but Meghan did reportedly relax by watching a Jane Fonda movie, Book Club, on a flight to Canada last year.....

moe note; in recent days the article (Link below) referencing the Duchess of Sussex (Meghan) being a ‘guest editor’ for ‘VOGUE’ has made the rounds even in the US and the Veteran’s sites primarily due to the acknowledgement of Jane Fonda by the Duchess as one of the 15 women on her list as a ‘trailblazers’ and ‘forces of change’.

After forwarding the original article we received many replies from Veterans, Family members of our Missing in Action (MIA) and even a note from a former POW. It is that note we share with you today.

Here's what I posted. Mike

The Duchess seems to be a bit ignorant regarding Jane Fonda, for if not she might have had second thoughts about nominating her as a woman she admires. Jane Fonda has never apologized to the veterans for her collaboration with the communist Vietnamese during the Vietnam War and her numerous lies, such as the POWs were never tortured by their captors. As POWs, we were shown a movie in which Fonda was shown to gleefully, like a child being given ice cream and told after you finish it, you can go for a ride on the merry-go-round, being helped and sitting in the anti-aircraft gun and pretending she was shooting down American airplanes; smiling and laughing as she did. Her defense is a lie; she claims that they forced her to sit in it for a photo-op, and her feeble attempt at an apology to the veterans is that they misunderstood her, and she was sorry about the picture; however, her sorrow is that the picture lives on in infamy and is proof of her treasonous ways. Her actions shamed her father Henry, an honorable man, and Nancy Reagan must have rolled over in her grave when Fonda played her in the movie “Butler.” Mike Benge, civilian POW of the NVA communists '68-'73

North Vietnam

In July 1972, while hundreds of thousands of Americans were fighting against communism in the skies, jungles and forests of Vietnam and neighboring countries, Jane Fonda journeyed to Hanoi to support our enemy’s worldwide propaganda campaign. Upon her return to the United States and for nearly the last half-century veterans and other patriotic Americans have demanded that the Department of Justice investigate whether Fonda’s words and deeds in Hanoi could be found by a jury to constitute the constitutional and statutory crimes of treason. Their uncoordinated efforts fell on deaf ears, indifferent to Hanoi Jane’s willful gift of propaganda to the communists.

Because there is strength in numbers, if at least 25,000 Americans—veterans and non-veterans alike—sign the petition that appears at HanoiJaneTreasonInvestigation.com it will be sent to every member of the Congress of the United States of America and the Attorney General of the United States. It is entitled “Petition to the Honorable Attorney General of the United States of America requesting that he convene a grand jury to investigate whether Jane Fonda committed treason in Vietnam during July 1972.”

If you believe that the harsh spotlight of constitutional treason must be shined on Hanoi Jane’s 1972 pilgrimage to our North Vietnamese enemies, please circulate this information as widely as possible.

The case against Jane Fonda, her actions during Vietnam War

 Reviewer: Mackubin Thomas Owens,

SPECIAL TO THE WASHINGTON TIMES

Section: BOOKS.  Page: B08

The case of Robert Walker Lindh, the so-called "American Taliban," has resurrected the issue of treason. What constitutes treason? What are the precedents? Why wasn't Lindh, who was captured early in the war in Afghanistan, charged with treason?

The answers to these and many other questions can be found in a very useful new book about another high-profile case involving an American citizen, who like Lindh, arguably adher[ed] to [America's] enemies, giving them aid and comfort"- Jane Fonda.

"'Aid and Comfort:' Jane Fonda in North Vietnam" by Henry Mark Holzer and Erika Holzer is a veritable sourcebook on treason. While the book is fairly short, it contains a great deal of documentation, including transcripts of Miss Fonda's propaganda broadcasts and other interviews, long passages from court decisions, and congressional testimony. But the Holzers, both attorneys (Mr. Holzer is also professor emeritus at Brooklyn Law School) succeed remarkably well in making a notoriously difficult topic understandable to the non-lawyer....

From one of the Founders of Special Operations Speaks, Lt Col Ken Benway, US Army, Special Forces

Fast on the heels of our memorials to our fallen of all wars this past week comes a slap in the face of our veterans by Hollywood.  On 5 June 2014, in Hollywood, Jane Fonda will be memorialized by her feckless peers.

Hollywood's American Film Institute is honoring her June 5, 2014 with a "Life Achievement Award", this group's highest honor for a career in film.   See more at http://www.afi.com/laa/laa14.aspx.

Vietnam Veterans and any others of our readership who come to understand the negative impact Jane Fonda had on the Vietnam war (both in prolonging it, and causing additional names of dead American Warriors to be added to The Wall), might want to review her "accomplishments" enumerated below, which gives a much more comprehensive picture than the American Film Institute is likely to render at either their presentation ceremony, which will undoubtedly be a glamorous event in the extreme, or their far-too positive portrayal of her on the AFI website:

1.    Born in 1937 into American privilege, Jane Fonda in 1967 was a spoiled 30 year old adult woman.

2. She used her Hollywood fame and fortune to fund Vietnam "anti-war" groups; conduct (with other prominent anti- Americans) the fraudulent "Winter Soldier Investigation"; support the Black Panthers (supported also by a well-known lawyer who went on to hold United States political office), and to stir up protests.  This, all despite her father's sage advice:  "Every time there's a parade or peace rally in this country it will make the war last that much longer, because it doesn't escape the attention of Ho Chi Minh."

3.    By mid-1972 Nixon had reduced our forces in Vietnam from 540,000 down to 65,000, had stopped the Draft, the South Vietnamese were holding on, and "Peace Talks" were underway.

4.    But in July of 1972 Jane Fonda and her entourage, via Moscow, illegally entered North Vietnam.

5.    While in North Vietnam she made 10 propaganda Radio Broadcasts over Radio Hanoi to undermine American Servicemen; very similar to "Tokyo Rose", the infamous WW II Traitor.

6.    She returned to the United States claiming to America and the World that our P.O.W.s were not being tortured, and that the U.S was intentionally bombing schools, hospitals and their river dikes, all lies and propaganda as a puppet for the Communist North Vietnamese.  Jane Fonda failed to consult men like Jeremiah Denton and George "Bud" Day or Jon Cavaianni, all prisoners of North Vietnam and Medal of Honor recipients, about these matters.  On this trip to Hanoi, she was clearly "giving aid and comfort" to our enemy, encouraging them to continue the war.

7.    In November of 1972 Nixon was re-elected in a landslide, the Peace Accords were finally signed by all in January of 1973, and all of America's forces were withdrawn during March.  But, two years later in March of 1975, the North Vietnamese Communists violated the "Peace Agreement" with a massive invasion of South Vietnam.  America's liberal Congress cut off aid rather than help our South Vietnamese Allies,.  In so doing, the American Congress guranteed the Communists a victory, literally "handing it to them.  Their so-called "unification" was really just tyranny, complete with Gulags, millions of "Boat People", and the killing of almost 2 million Cambodians.  Thousands of Sout Vietnamese endured prison for their service as ARVN soldiers, all at the hands of the North Vietnamese Communist regime.

8.    Many former "protestors" were appalled, so Joan Baez and 84 other disillusioned notables published a full page ad in major newspapers May 30, 1979, imploring the North Vietnamese regime to stop their imprisonment and torture.

9.    More dedicated to Communist victory than to the truth, or real "peace", Jane Fonda refused to participate in the ad, criticizing them for making the North Vietnamese Communists "look bad".

The unfortunate, but very deliberate, recognition of Jane Fonda, an American Traitor, is just one more thumb in the eye of our military by the ultra-Liberal Left in Hollywood.

We encourage veterans, and others who now understand better the results of Jane Fonda's traitoroust actions, especially those of the Vietnam era, to register their protest against this insult, by contacting:

"The Butler" is a new film about a person who served in the White House during several administrations. Unfortunately, whoever cast the movie selected one of the most vile and unrepentant traitors of the Vietnam War, "Hanoi Jane" Fonda, to play former First Lady Nancy Reagan.

Until such time as "Hanoi Jane" prostrates herself before God, Country and surviving Vietnam Veterans and, the families of those killed or wounded in Vietnam, she should not be supported in any way. Please help pass this to everyone who cares!

Thanks

Jane Fonda picked an old scab when she apologized for the infamous 1972 photo of her atop an anti-aircraft gun in Hanoi. “I made one unforgivable mistake when I was in North Vietnam, and I will go to my grave with this,” she told Oprah this month.

We won’t argue with that. But if America is looking for a woman whose conviction made a difference during the Vietnam War, we have a suggestion: Sybil Stockdale, widow of a hero — Admiral James B. Stockdale — as well as one in her own right......

'Hanoi Jane' Set to Play Nancy Reagan in New Film

Sometimes Hollywood casting directors must chuckle into their sleeves at the way their decisions drive conservatives to distraction.

Case in point - this news flash concerning Oscar-winner Jane Fonda's new project:
Jane Fonda is going to be playing Nancy Reagan in a new movie. Oh yes. According to Variety, the reviled-by-conservatives actress/activist has joined the cast of "The Butler," the new Lee Daniels drama about a White House servant (Forest Whitaker) whose career lasted from the Truman Administration to Ronald Reagan's. Daniels is also looking to Liam Neeson to play Lyndon Johnson and John Cusack to play Richard Nixon.

Hanoi Jane has been humbled. Recently, the home shopping channel QVC canceled a scheduled appearance by Jane Fonda. The actress was supposed to discuss her latest book, “Prime Time.” She is shocked and angry that QVC disinvited her because of mounting public opposition.

“The network said they got a lot of calls,” Ms. Fonda wrote on her personal blog, “criticizing me for my opposition to the Vietnam War and threatening to boycott the show if I was allowed to appear.” She added: “I am, to say the least, deeply disappointed that QVC caved to this kind of insane pressure by some well-funded and organized political extremist groups.”

QVC is right. In fact, they should never have invited her in the first place. Ms. Fonda did ........

Jane Fonda: traitor or wartime scapegoat?

Jane Fonda went to North Vietnam in July 1972. Following what had become a well-traveled path for antiwar activists, she visited farms and hospitals, viewed sites destroyed in bombing raids, visited American POWs, and made a number of broadcasts.

She also visited an antiaircraft battery where she was photographed sitting in a gunner’s chair, wearing a helmet, and squinting into a gun sight.

And years later, that won her the derisive, even traitorous, appellation, “Hanoi Jane.’’...

Hanoi Jane Fonda Blames Her Treasonous Acts on Right-Wingers
Tuesday, April 6, 2010, 5:55 AM
Jim Hoft

Commie leftist Jane blamed the right wing for her treasonous stunts during the Vietnam War.  The American traitor just wants everybody to move on
already.

Hanoi Jane told Larry King last night that the right-wingers were the ones to blame for her treasonous actions during the Vietnam War. ...

In a speech to Duke University students in 1970, Fonda told the gathering, "If you understood what Communism was, you would hope and pray on your knees that we would someday become Communist."

After her trip to Hanio:  .....Fonda told the world press that U.S. prisoners of war were being well treated and not tortured. Her outrageous claims were later exposed when American POWs were finally freed and told of years of agonizing tortures and inhuman treatment. Fonda responded, not with an apology, but with an accusation calling our returned POWs "liars and hypocrites."

A veteran summed it up: "It is a shame that some of those who fought so well for America can be treated as 'forgotten ghosts' and left to rot as
POWs in Hanoi's prisons, while those like Fonda, who so passionately supported our enemy and condemned our system of government, are now
overwhelmingly blessed by its wealth."

The New York Post has a news item 02/15/09 about Hanoi Jane  titled, "TRAITOR
JANE".  It appears that her past may be starting to catch  up with her.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and first lady Maria Shriver have selected several past and present Californians to be inducted into the new California Museum Hall of Fame on Dec. 10. Among them is Jane Fonda, political activist and actress.

We consider her selection an affront to U.S. war veterans.

The state librarian nominated 180 potential inductees. Political appointees at the California Arts Council and the California Museum narrowed the list; the Schwarzeneggers approved the final selection. The list includes Theodore Geisel (Dr. Seuss), former Gov. Leland Stanford, Nobel Prize-winner Linus Pauling, architect Julia Morgan and photographer Dorothea Lange, among others.....
