PFC EDWARD FRANCIS ROGERS

Private First Class Edward Francis Rogers entered the U.S. Marine Corps from Massachusetts and served with Company F, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 9th Marine Amphibious Brigade. On March 12, 1968, his unit engaged enemy forces in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam, in the vicinity of (GC) 48Q YD 274 675. Private First Class Rogers was killed in action during this engagement, and due to the battlefield situation, his unit could not recover his body at the time of loss. Subsequent searches of the battle area were unable to locate his remains. He is still unaccounted for. Today, Private First Class Rogers is memorialized on the Courts of the Missing at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
