The Department of Defense announced today a partial list of names of the approximately 126 persons who remain unaccounted for
in the wake of Tuesday's attack on the Pentagon.

The Department of the Navy confirmed today that Aerographer's Mate First Class Edward Thomas Earhart, 26, Salt Lick, Ky., was killed during Tuesday's attack on the Pentagon. He was previously listed as unaccounted.

The Department of Defense announced today that Herbert W. Homer, a civilian employee of the Defense Contract Management Agency, was among the passengers aboard United Airlines Flight # 175, which crashed into the World Trade Center. He was previously listed in error as unaccounted at the Pentagon.

The number of dead or unaccounted at the Pentagon remains 124, not including the 64 passengers on American Airlines Flight #77.
Search and rescue operations continue.  To date, 88 remains have been recovered from the Pentagon and transported to Dover Air Force Base, Del. for identification.
